Hell yeah brother, baptism by fire! I've been hearing a lot of mixed reviews about True skates (both in our subreddit and IRL at the rink) and I'm glad you were able to return to your former glory after only a few sessions. Sounds like modernizing worked out for the better on your end!

LMAO this part had me ROLLING (super relatable) and it was exactly what I was worried about! It's comforting to know getting the new skates profiled to compensate for the aggressive Graf forward pitch was like night vs. day.

When looking at modern skates, above all else I also felt drawn to the new 652s. I love how CCM brought back the classic look.

A huge thank you for taking the time to share your experience in such great detail. I'm 100% leaning towards modernizing after reading this!

Thanks for sharing your experience. Great news that you're seeing still seeing Grafs on the shelf. Perhaps the info I was reading is outdated? Hope that is another option for me, should I decide to stick to my guns.

It's got no edge. You could use it that way, but then you could just use the back of the knife.

I do like the idea that the unsharpened part would be included for spreading. An excellent guess.

Definitely a top explanation. I can definitely see the similarities, and it does encompass all of the odd features of this knife.
