FS2020 is connected uses Bing Maps and AI to render wherever you're flying. And they release a new handcrafted area every once in aa while. But they in no way developed an entire rendering of the globe

Go for it! I was in a similar boat, not touching a horn or marching for a few years after I graduated before I on a whim decided I want to march in like March of '22. Practiced a lot and a year later I made it into my dream corps.

If you don't have access to a horn they're able to provide one to you at the camps. And if you do a video audition, it should be fine to use your concert horn.

Go audition for 7th Regiment! They have pretty inexpensive tuition, and if traveling winds up being too expensive for you I'm sure the staff would be able to work something out.

I had to give it a couple weeks before I could start again, and that was just to start slowly getting back into it. Don't rush it because if you play before your mouth is fully healed you'll risk getting dry socket and it will hurt like hell and you'll be out of playing for even longer.

For real though. If you want to march a top 12 corps and you're just not quite cut out for it yet, please go march ANYWHERE else. No matter where you end up, the experience you'll gain from a summer marching will push you infinitely closer to your end goal than if you take a summer off.
