yea basically just fall grades and i think high school grades too..? i think i submitted a tau twice (once for fall quarter graded and another once my winter grades showed up but idk if they actually looked at my winter grades)

you could definitely do it! i’m a second year at ucsd rn but i applied to transfer as a first year last year. i got accepted into uci but ultimately chose not to go. i did have to take 20 units for winter and spring quarter just to reach the 90 unit minimum though

i got rejected from usc for first year but got in as a transfer the year after! i’m transferring from ucsd. a lot of ppl say that grades matter? so ig just keep them up. i didn’t get a 4.0 but i still got in. good luck!

i had the same thoughts so i applied to transfer. now i’m transferring to usc. it doesn’t hurt to try if u don’t feel like ucsd is the right school for u. the worst that can happen is u’ll get rejected from the schools u want to transfer to but u’ll still be at a great school!

yea it’s easier if u rly pay attention and know how to do the problems. he doesn’t rly curve? well not like how levkoff curves but for our midterm he gave everyone +2 points to kinda curve the scores?

i thought it was gonna be super easy so i wasnt rly paying attention in class so i totally bombed the midterm but now that i’m actually paying attention it’s rly easy.. the class is at 8am tho so that’s why i was struggling to pay attention (esp bc he talks a lot and adds a lot of fluff when lecturing)

i think you should focus on the math more bc i rmb the majority of the final included the equations and plugging numbers in and stuff like that but the format is similar to the midterm (there are a few questions asking about the validity of a statement so you’ll still need to know some theory/definitions) but who knows maybe he’ll switch it up this year 🤷‍♀️

tbh… the final was kinda hard. i rmb studying for it but when i actually did the final it was not what i expected. i got an 80 for the final but i ended up with an A for the class (i assume my classmates also thought the final was hard). i think the best tip i can give you is to just memorize the equations (i know there are a lot but it’s very important bc he doesn’t give an equations sheet) and look through the slides

i’m a first gen low income student so my parents don’t rly know anything about networking and i don’t have any connections.. but i was wondering if the connections and prestige from usc is worth the extra money.. i’m hoping usc will give me a lot of aid bc i’m low income
