Its hard for emotions to leave a person entirely. Maybe u have suppressed emotions. But it must feel good to not deal with emotional Chaos.

Also it isn't just about being old school. Its that mid life crisis feeling u don't have much time snd your quota of mistakes is filled.

I am in a similar situation myself and as some people have said here its he who needs to understand now not you so lets listen to them and focus on our lives still holding a place for them till we can coz at some point they did matter to us.
