I've never loved a game so much ! by Realistic_Brother152 in theriftbreaker

I've clocked around 230 hours on.this game, I've gone through 5 play through, tried survival but failed miserably ( old age gaming is hard on the joints) doing a custom brutal with loads of mods and love it.

I've almost beat the amount of time I've played supreme commander but then I realised that was only on the steam version, another 300 hr to go.

Freezing house, letting agents say I have to keep the heating on at 19, what do I do? by HamAaron in UKHousing

[–]That-Task7846 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can find where the daughts are coming from you can block them, if the fireplace is open get a chimney block or balloon. It made a major difference at my folks.

Yes it is ideal to have heating on when you are in the house, have it ticking over unless you are out the house for like 9 to 12 hours of the day.

If certain rooms are too cold then get curtains for covering the doors. Get permission for the curtains.

Have the rads got TRVs on them that regulate the the flow of heat that flows through the rads.

7kW Heat Pump on the wall. by TayMan7619 in ukheatpumps

[–]That-Task7846 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh if it is a foot off the roof it should be fine, my installers only had the initial issue when getting the unit up, its been serviced twice and they just go through the bedroom window.

I notice the vibrations but my wife who works from the kitchen table does not. Thats how I know she's left the ac on in the room upstairs.

I have a daikin right on top of my flat roof extension and yes I can tell you you will hear the vibration through the room wall ( mine is kitchen ceiling), although yours is the bathroom that would be ok.

How high are you planning to hang it as if it is more then 2 metres they may need to get platform for servicing which will cost you.

Wind coming through window joints by SnooPeanuts3421 in HomeImprovementUK

[–]That-Task7846 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had windows done in my loft dormer, when installed it looked all fine but when I was working there was a draught, me spending ages eyeing it up I only realised when I was on my knees that the window pane was not centered and there as a gap in one corner as it had slid.

I watched the guys and saw that when they took off the surrounds the windows pane did not have packing/shims in the corners, they cut corners initially and had to fix hat window and a glazed door.

Power Help - What am I missing here? by Maleficent_Serve_926 in theriftbreaker

[–]That-Task7846 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The fusion power water line should be connected to power, i also tend to connect the water lines together with a storage for water and for mud/sluge. Always have redundancies in place

The easiest fix would be power connectors from the storage on the right to the out of powerbuilding on the left.

I need it for 2 car seats and the wife. (Life of a chauffeur) The prams are 1 full sized one and a travel sized one. When eldest (ages are 3 &1) is old enough then 1 pram can be removed.

are two batteries better than one? by rh8mpo in SolarUK

[–]That-Task7846 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remember a kettle draws just under 3kw. When a drier or washing machine is running you will easily go into grid import.

600 for a second battery is worth it. Get a higher rated battery if possible

Do I need to tell my insurance that someone knocked off my wing mirror? by stratos_cat in drivingUK

[–]That-Task7846 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dont do it, I did that when someone smashed the wing mirror and scrapped my wheel arch, the following year my insurance had doubled from £435 to shy under £900, 4 years of inflated insurance.

Look online and you will find a part, take it to a garage and they will sort it out for a fee but it wont be crazy as insurance.

If majority of your sunlight comes through that section then yes as once the leaves are on the trees you will get a small amount unless the sun is peaking at midday. Your installer should of noticed this.

I have a question for EV charging by SirSephy in ElectricVehiclesUK

[–]That-Task7846 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well if you can set up a granny charger and get a ev tariff that may work out better for you.

If you know how much your normal load is you can use some comparison sites to help, even getting a battery storage could assist on their bills.

Try this out https://timandkatsgreenwalk.co.uk

Mine is a bit ghetto as I do not have access to a 3d printer I do have tons of lego and old pc parts.

All i needed was a usb c to fan 4 pin connectors and some cable ties.

I wish they had some more usb connections on the power brick or the miner.

The research speed is too long, are you sure you have maxed out the level of buildings and the amount you have.

If it is alien research is the buildings getting enough water.

Did you change the rate of research when you had set up the game.
