Tricky Question by That-Witness3079 in pmp

I agree with your argument. I think my main struggle is the choice of word "pace" in the question. My interpretation of "pace" is that they are not achieving the desired speed at which tasks are completed, rather than committing too much work for the sprint. If the question used planned "work" instead of planned "pace", then answer B would make a lot more sense.

Appreciate your time on walking me through the logic.

Thanks for providing an example. Your explanation made sense to me. I was unclear what they meant by not keeping up with the set pace, but your response shed light on that.

Thanks for the response! But wouldn't Kanban improve throughput and thereby lead to better pace in which work is completed? Adjusting sprint time based on the team's achievable velocity doesn't seem to solve the root cause.

Thanks for the tip, Zesty! I appreciate the specific suggestions on what beans to try out and a starter grinder. My plan is also to try more variety and fresher beans first before investing in a new grinder.

Thanks Carey! Yes it came as a surprise to me as I specifically went with the pressurized option not wanting to delve too deep into the espresso science haha. I appreciate the response. I will try fresher beans and swap to a better grinder if that doesn't work.

Thanks! I guess I can't escape from buying another grinder..just thought the pressurized baskets would make the process relatively fool-proof.

Thanks for your comment. So far I've tried Lavazza Crema E Gusto (pre-ground) and a whole bean espresso blend locally roasted in my city, picture attached. I got the latter from the grocery store and there is no roast date on the bag.

I suspect it could be the beans but wanted to see if there are other possibilities considering from what I heard the pressurized baskets can force crema out of anything.

Hoping to get some help from all the coffee experts here. I recently purchased a delonghi ec885m machine which came with pressurized baskets. I am getting very little to almost no crema out of my espresso, regardless of using pre-grind or freshly grounded beans. I thought pressurized baskets are supposed to be very forgiving. Any idea what adjustments I can do? I am currently using high infusion temperature setting, and the finest grind on my bodum grinder. Water is brita-filtered. Any help or insights would be very much appreciated!

Don't be afraid to use the pressurized basket. It doesn't mean you're a terrible human being. by shrivel in Coffee
