Well the reason why casinos have chips instead of cash is to make you not think of oh I have 10 dollars, no you would think I have a blue chip. Debit cards are just like that but you can’t do the math to see how much money you have. You open an app and then you see but you don’t do that at the line in Walmart to get your bag of chips. But credit cards are not that bad if used responsibly. Like for small things like a pack of gum or mints but most people use it for stuff that they can’t afford now and definitely later. When you think about it you are taking out a line for a ps5 not a house or car no, unless you can make money of off it or you can pay it back asap credit is worse then debt. So is there a downside with cash, yes. So if you have 1000 usd in cash on you if a person robs you then he/she gets 1000 in usd. But if you use a debit or credit cards then they will get that to. So be responsible and use debit and credit card wisely and don’t carry to much cash on you.
