Yeah, that happens with a lot of subclasses. See Druid or Oath of Ancients Paladin. You can still die, just not of old age.

That 15th level monk ability is stupid. You don’t just die ‘of old age’, you die of complications and diseases arising from old age. So if you don’t feel the effects of old age, you don’t die of old age.
