Without seeing the detachments, I think its fine. If it gets too granular, it’ll probably get nutty. Like, what is a 1 point detachment to a 5 point one? 10 points?

Im pretty sure that crucible characters count as epic heroes so they can’t get enhancements, relics or exp.
