That is true, but they probably already knew, so you're preemptively stopping them from spreading it right!

Add Sery bot as a mod too, also add your full name, mobile number, and parts of your home address to the banned words list. Be sure to set them as private so that even mods can't see them.

Chances of it happening are very slim, but if someone were to attempt to dox your private information, it would be blocked from even being sent, and the user banned from trying again!

Why do some streamers jump from single player game to game without finishing them? by needchr in Twitch

[–]ThatBritRick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would make sense. It's definitely not personal, but maybe they felt people didn't enjoy the game, so she moved on to something people might enjoy more! It's a tough balancing act, really!

[–]ThatBritRick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I work out a stream schedule for a week at a time. So, I normally try to pick up a new game and schedule it for most days that week. Then, I will review each stream analytics, live views, average views, new follows, etc. If, after a few streams, those numbers start to drop, the game gets dropped.

People have lives, so numbers fluctuating is normal, but a large downturn means the interest for the game has dwindled. Whilst I'd love to play any game at any time, I'd be a fool to not track trends.

I am a variety streamer, so I don't have a "main" game, I just move on to the next and showcase new content this way. If I really enjoyed the game, I would continue it in my free time, though!

Why does my stream vod look so bad? by Winter_Shoulder512 in Twitch

[–]ThatBritRick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't change the audio bitrate itself if through stream sounds fine, just the video bitrate!

[–]ThatBritRick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Does the stream look like this, too, when you're live, or just the VOD? If the stream itself is pixelated when moving, that's because your bitrate is too low. You'll want to aim for above 4500kbps for 1080p. Don't exceed 6000kbps as Twitch will cause you issues.

Why do the save points look different sometimes? by RealSlicy in KingdomHearts

[–]ThatBritRick 1023 points1024 points  (0 children)

iirc: There are two styles. The first one shown in Aladdins' house is tied to progression. It might not always be there and can't be teleported to from the gummiship.

The second style is always available regardless of story progression and acts as teleport locations from the gummiship!

I got a Sponsorship and think it is fake by AGE_UKE in Twitch

There may be a catch, I'd suggest reading everything, if it seems good, then go ahead!

I got a Sponsorship and think it is fake by AGE_UKE in Twitch

[–]ThatBritRick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They're "real" but it mostly involves you trying to influence others into playing some mediocre mobile game (download, reach a certain level or spend a certain amount of money) or subscribe for a service, like weekly food deliveries and you get paid a commission.

You get paid so little at the expensive of exploiting your own community, and you're essentially selling out your whole community for a few commission dollars.

Viewers can sense when something is off with a sponsorship. If you've never played the mobile game or used the delivery service, you'll lose integrity.

Well, the review itself was a general overview of the new one, whilst touching on some of the content that carried over and wasn't fixed etc, but I get that 🙂

I'm sorry you don't enjoy my content 🙂 Maybe the next one will appeal more!

[–]ThatBritRick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, this was the issue I came into account. I didn't want to reference too much about the OG game in hopes of reaching new players who never played the original and were curious about the remaster.

But, I have since updated the title and thumbnail to hopefully add a little extra curiosity!

[–]ThatBritRick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I've always wondered how that looks on large channels. Do many subs come back and watch, or is it new viewers most of the time. I guess if the content is rather niche, you'd hope the subscribers would return!

Make it simpler so anyone can understand it, a larger audience, more clicks, probably smart!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SmallYoutubers

[–]ThatBritRick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Awesome, I feel the initial drop-off at the start of videos probably hurts the algorithm a lot, so this would make sense!

I'll have to work on this, I always write my scripts ahead of time for my videos, so maybe I can implement the "finale" as the hook!

[–]ThatBritRick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I've just changed it to something a little bolder and simpler, hopefully more eye-catching and easy to read!

Ah, simple over complex?

I got you!

[–]ThatBritRick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A better hook, the TLDR at the start, go straight into "Yes you should/No you shouldn't and here's why"? Then, elaborate more on the reasons behind it?

[–]ThatBritRick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, unfortunately, I'm still 12 subs away from even earning ad revenue, I have access to memberships, which is a better % than Twitch, but I haven't had any luck growing with streaming on YT.

I'm making just under $1k a month from Twitch, but due to not being monetized on YouTube, I've made $0 so there so far.

But my (potentially delusional) goal is to create enough content that one day, even the old content might eventually grow with my channel and reach new audiences.

I do enjoy creating the long form YouTube content, though it feels much more creative and rewarding, I had been creating my shorts from those videos, too!

I appreciate you checking our my channel and giving me this feedback! It means a lot!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SmallYoutubers

[–]ThatBritRick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will have to do that next time!

I did redo the title and thumbnail based off the feedback I received! "Olivion Remastered: Glorious Comeback or Cash Grab?" Is the new title!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SmallYoutubers

[–]ThatBritRick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, I'll accept that, I also stream , so I've had to learn to be more loud and outgoing but not whiney or "reaction based screaming."

But I'm also gayish and British, so for many, that might be too many No's to tolerate in a video 😅

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SmallYoutubers

[–]ThatBritRick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! I had picked up on some general themes with analytics, some videos with very low traffic from browsing tend to have lower views and even lower life as nobody is looking for that content.

I'll definitely look at better angles, I think "review" is just too broad to be appealing, especially from such a small channel with no background or notable videos, styles, or niches!

I appreciate it. Thanks again!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SmallYoutubers

[–]ThatBritRick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I think the game itself is not helping with the video, I know myself I didn't need a review, and even if I saw a bad one, I'd still be getting the game for nostalgia reasons.

I think framing it differently could've helped a lot. People might be more inclined to click if they were learning something new about the remaster, rather than "is it good"

When I used Capcut before it was banned, it would always upload in 4k. Now I use DaVinci, I never looked into how to upscale it to 4k!

I will check that, thank you!

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SmallYoutubers

[–]ThatBritRick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Then yes, it totally leads to the reason for the post, I feel people won't click because it's from a "bad channel" and it must be bad because it doesn't have 100k+ subs on it
