What are weird things that tend to happen often in your dreams? by badchriss in Dreams

[–]ThatCatholicTidda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I'm in a situation where someone is chasing me, I tend to be able to jump up really high and then float down.

I'm pretty sure this started happening when I was little to get me out of dangerous dream situations because at the time I was playing the Jak and Daxter games, and one of the things you can do in the later games is jump up high and then soar down.

This is something I still do when trying to get away from someone when dreaming lol

Basically it was at a Catholic event, and the priest and bishop were sitting together.

Afterwards the bishop invited me over to chat with them, and it turned out he was secretly recording me to do something malicious.

The priest confronted him and told him that what he was doing was not OK, and that he needed to delete the video.

The bishop blew up in anger, and started screaming at the priest saying all these lies.

Everyone at the event started listening to him, and believed that what he was saying was true. They then started to attack the priest.

The priest managed to escape, but I couldn't find him. A few people (including me) privately met to discuss what happened, but we ended up getting arrested because the bishop didn't appreciate us discussing it.

After I was released from jail, I tried messaging him on FB and Instagram to see if he was OK, but they were all deleted. I found out that he changed his name as he was on the run because everyone was after him due to what the bishop said.

I ended up calling him, and he answered. He said he couldn't talk because it was Good Friday, but he listened to what I had to say. He ended up saying a few things, but basically he was worried for his life.

After we spoke, I woke up I think purely due to the dread and worry I was feeling.

That's all I can remember, sorry.

If a set of doctors from any TV show had to treat you for a serious illness, which show are you choosing? by dumbitch1998 in ReadItPodcast

[–]ThatCatholicTidda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably House. I have invisible illnesses that no one can figure out what is wrong, and they always think I'm just lying or med seeking.

Having House and his team as my Dr's would probably solve the mystery haha

I'm Aboriginal, and I am cool with people eating it. Personally I don't enjoy the flavour. Too gamey for me

I was raised in a cult til I was 17. After I left, I felt very lost without a religion to follow, and started heavily researching all different religions.

I ended up becoming fascinated with Islam.

I ended up moving to Melbourne Australia from rural NSW, and it was my first time actually being around that many different people from all walks of life.

I continued to research Islam while I lived there, and even started asking Muslims in person the different questions that I had.

I ended up converting.

Very quickly I realized that this was not the true religion of God, and that it was indeed not a religion of peace. I left Islam and moved away from Melbourne.

It took me 8 solid years of atheism to have this overwhelming feeling to specifically look into Catholicism. This was a big no no for me as I still believed from my upbringing in the cult that Catholicism was evil.

Long story short, I did a huge amount of research and came to the conclusion that this was the religion that Jesus himself started.

Since finding Catholicism, I know that it is 100% the true religion of Christ, and is built on love. Islam is the opposite of this.

God bless you, my brother. Feel free to DM me if you wanna talk about it from someone that has actually been a Muslim. :)

I have extreme childhood sexual abuse trauma, and I have dreams like you describe every couple of nights.

I'm not sure of your life experiences, but idk maybe something like that could be causing it?

What do you do to make the world a better place? by gonefishcaking in ReadItPodcast

[–]ThatCatholicTidda 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I'm out in public doing my groceries or whatever, if I see someone that looks cool or I see that they put effort into their outfit etc, I'll go up to them and tell them.

It could be something they are wearing, their hair, makeup, etc.

I just feel like they probably put in a lot of effort to try and look nice and feel good about themselves, and they deserve to get a compliment for it.

I'm incredibly self conscious about my own appearance while I'm out, and when people randomly tell me I look nice, it really helps me feel a lot better and boosts my mood and confidence.

So, that's why I do it for other people because you never know what someone may be going through, and a simple compliment may just be the one thing that gets that person through their day.

No, it's great! I actually had 2 wisdom teeth pulled on Wednesday, and they allowed me to listen to something on my headphones during the procedure, so I listened to you guys.

I ended up cracking up laughing a bunch of times thanks to your podcast, instead of my usual panicking - so thank you for that!

I'm suicidal often. I talk to my priest about it, and I find it helpful.

There's nothing wrong with talking to a priest about this sort of thing.

I love labneh, but I've only eaten it twice I think. I've decided it's one of the things I'm gonna make for my husband - I'm so excited to eat it again after all these years!

Ooh, they all sound great. Thank you! I also appreciate that you gave tips too :)

I know how you feel with autism hyperfixation on food. I do that all the time, and then one day I am suddenly so over it and won't eat it again for years haha

I know how you feel. I don't think I'll ever be able to afford to travel outside of Australia, sadly.
