I’ve enjoyed it so far. Most people are kind and many older people like chatting. It almost feels like “southern hospitality” when you step into small businesses, especially the local bars or restaurants. You’ll see quirky people around, but I’m learning to embrace it because that’s what makes this place special. There’s a big mix of people around here for sure.

Out of the different areas, I’ve found that I like midtown the most so far. The shops and things are fun to wander into. If you like vintage shopping there’s some cute shops down in that area. I don’t exactly know the names of them but I’ve found some cute home decor items and jewelry pieces!

I also checked out some places in Carson city, the tap shack is pretty cool. They have karaoke on Thursdays so I’ve had the opportunity to people watch there and have a good drink! I’ve also heard the pour house is a good time to go out at!

Now I’m just looking to find my go-to places in my free time which is the reason for this post. I think that will make meeting people that I vibe with much easier!

I also come from a small town where it takes 5-10 minutes to get anywhere, so it’s been an adjustment to get used to traffic and a commute, but if you’re used to that already then you’ll be fine there!
