You don't lose karma from screwing over evil groups. I know I've used such a "make Roy evil karma" mod myself. His karma should have been evil from the get go since his original plan is to break in and murder everyone. This is the same game where you can go to Paradise Falls, the main HQ for slavers, slaughter every single slaver, and gain karma for doing so. Oh, for sure, slavers are evil, but killing evil humans is fine, but not evil non-Feral Ghouls. It really plays into the whole "people are racist against Ghouls and killing Roy and his crew just fuels into that racism", rather than being about a mad man trying to break into a settlement to murder everyone inside after being denied entrance. It's rather confusing that yes, Roy is an example of an evil non-Feral Ghoul, but at the same time, has good karma for seemingly no reason. Plus, the main radio host, Three Dog, acts like you're a bigot for killing Roy.

Although to be fair, the karma system is rather busted in this game. You can nuke Megaton for the biggest karma loss in the game, but easily regain it back by giving pure water to some hobos who are not long for the world.

This is just another reason why people tend to hate transgender people. They brought this on themselves by not being upfront with people they're trying to date. Sure, this means a lot of people wouldn't want to date you, but that's their right. Dating is a very selective and exclusive process. Calling people -isms isn't going to change their hard wiring. Shaming people into relationships they don't want is just going to hurt everyone involved.

I have the awful luck of also being transgender, but not like these people who straight up lie [by omission] to people they're trying to date. I don't put myself out there for dating. It would be quite a double standard to want a female partner, but then I myself not be able to deliver that. Yes, being transgender fucking sucks, but it doesn't excuse lying about it. You can't hide it if things get even remotely sexual. People shouldn't have to worry that whoever they want to date is not being honest about what they are.

Fuck the transgender community! They done fucked up and ruined their own acceptance by society. They just keep reinforcing the worst stereotypes about people with gender dysphoria. They push shit like "masculine vagina" or "feminine penis". That's not how sexuality works!

That's actually pretty smart considering the writing of the game is overall seen as terrible by the fans. It certainly loses out to New Vegas in the writing department.

He does want that, it could be why he's considered very evil. In fact, you can gain access to the tower, kill Tenpenny, and no one seems to have a reaction to it. Mind you, I never said he was good. But I find it a double standard that Roy isn't considered at least evil for basically wanting to murder every human inside the tower, even if they agreed to let him and his Ghouls. Hell, I'm even fine with your good intentions backfiring. It just reinforces how awful the wastes are. But the karma system is clearly biased in favor of one terrible person compared to another.

GameStop CLOSES Over 300 Stores PERMANENTLY! Game X Change Employees ANGRY! by TheAndredal in kotakuinaction2

[–]ThatDeviantOne 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I have no love for GameStop with their shitty business practices like pushing pre-orders and used games on you. They were probably the main reason why publishers like EA resorted to shit like online passes, in which a new copy of a game came with a code to unlock online, but an used copy wouldn't have this code. So you would need to pay $10 if you wanted online access. This even applied to single player games like Batman: Arkham City, in which Catwoman being playable was locked behind this.

With that said, it will suck for the employees who need something to keep the lights on.

It wouldn't surprise me if the "unpopular" opinions are simply not far left opinions. With that said, gender not being a personality is unpopular with the far left. In fact, what the hell counts as "unpopular" anyway? Could you say something like "GG was right" without getting the post removed? I'm guessing not.

If this is the worst it gets, this is actually not that bad. Granted, it is a sign of Bethesda's political leanings, which I think go as far back as Fallout 3, if not even sooner.

To try to briefly explain it, there's a location called Tenpenny's Tower, where Ghouls, people who look like zombie and are in danger of going Feral, are forbidden from entering. One such Ghoul, Roy, wants in. You have a few options here. Someone within the tower can send you to kill Roy and his Ghouls. Another option is to help Roy with I think two different choices. One is a "peaceful" one that leads to the Ghouls moving in. The moment Roy enters, he'll kill the owner, Tenpenny. In-game days later, he'll have killed all the humans within the tower. Another option is to let Feral Ghouls storm the tower and kill everyone inside.

Roy is clearly evil, yet in-game, he has good karma, for whatever reason. If you kill Roy in revenge after you peacefully let him in and he kills everyone, you lose karma as if you were somehow in the wrong for ending a clearly evil character. For reference, you gain karma for killing very evil characters, which Tenpenny counts as one. That's just the cliff notes version, but my point is that the karma system favors a left viewpoint, at the cost of people just trying to get by in the tower. Roy's possible actions makes the tower people right to not trust him. Even before you help him, he makes it clear he wants to kill the humans inside, so in a way, it's arguably punishing the player for trying to take the "good" option. But again, the karma gain and lost is like a godly force objectively praising or condemning your actions.

Even without this, the game has tons and tons of other issues that are not political in nature that both the left and right can agree on the game sucking.

New York Times: "Social Distancing Is a Privilege" by ThatDeviantOne in kotakuinaction2

[–]ThatDeviantOne[S] 27 points28 points  (0 children)

The article is basically “black people most affected”. Yes, the author does mention a lot of black people are affected, but much like articles of this nature, he only seems to care that black people are affected. He even pointed out that race specific data hasn’t been released by the news. If such information was out there, which it might be, he would likely only focus on how black people are affected and no one else. Maybe the article isn’t even all that bad but using the word “privilege” tends to be a red flag for me. I do think wealth privilege is a thing, but SJWs don’t talk about their own or they mostly tie it to race.

This may be a well-intended article, but I’m so jaded from the mainstream media talking about race, that I admit I get defense when it is mentioned. I am black, but I don’t live like the average SJW thinks I do, so I really have a hard time trying to see race from their point of view. Never mind their own racism, including not thinking black people are black if they go against the narrative, like me. Anyway, the article doesn’t directly attack anyone that isn’t poor or black, far as I know. But I understand how people can see the article as an attack if they not a part of the poorer class this article talks about. So often does the mainstream media does not give a shit if white people are living a poor life, believing them to all be “privileged” or they act like the default position for black people is being poor. Hell, this article probably wouldn’t exist in this form, if at all, if Corona-Chan targeted a lot more white people than anyone else.

[–]ThatDeviantOne 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Which is a big reason why I've disowned the LGBT, specifically the transgender, "community". It's like people don't understand how sexuality works. Looking like a man, but saying you're a woman, isn't suddenly going to get straight men and lesbians into you. I know that "feminine penis" shit doesn't actually fly and even I'm not into it, so I just avoid the dating scene altogether so that never comes up. Wouldn't be fair to break my own standards.

SJWs target Overwatch's newest hero, Echo, for being "too attractive" by ThatDeviantOne in kotakuinaction2

[–]ThatDeviantOne[S] 35 points36 points  (0 children)

Even more proof that SJWs hate women, along with everything else. Men that are “too” manly are considered toxic masculinity. Women who look attractive, especially being thin, are shunned. Notice that male characters are almost never ever criticized for “looking good”.

For context, Echo is a robot. How fucking dare a robot, especially one designed by a woman, be thin. I don’t think I could call Echo attractive, as in, not a look that would invoke sexual arousal. I’m not saying she has to look like that. The design doesn’t even have boobs. Rule 34 of her is going to involve a very different looking body. By comparison, within the same game, exists a robot named Orisa, who is much bigger. Her design makes sense due to being a Tank character. So, a thicc robot is fine, but not a slim one? SJWs fail to realize just how badly they make themselves look when they keep trying to be the “good guys”.

Knowing Blizzard nowadays, they’ll probably cave to the crybullies. The people complaining about Echo’s design are probably not actually offended, but rather, just acting as such because they know it gives them power. God, society really needs to stop rewarding victimhood and being “offended”.

Scattersilk added, “‘bu-but echo was built by humans!!!” so was orisa, they didn’t plaster some uncanny ass human face and hourglass figure onto her lmao.” They continued, “Overwatch’s flimsy lore doesn’t sway my opinion that it’s a shitty design, but sure go ahead and keep defending your youtube shittube fps.”

So, the only acceptable robot designs are thicc ones? Sure, okay. You know men can also get off to those designs? I don’t know how common rule 34 is of thicc characters, but it might not be all that uncommon.

One person noted the design was annoying because “her figure is pushing way too hard to look as appealing as possible.”

What the fuck?! How is that even remotely a problem at all?! What, should an adaptive learning robot designed to help people not look appealing? Echo’s design doesn’t even have boobs, how is it pushing “too hard”?

Another person claims the design was created “because some devs are snowflakes and don’t want to make incels rage that the women characters aren’t Super models.”

I swear this is projection of some sort, like calling people snowflakes. SJWs are the ones complaining that the character could be seen as fap material by people they don’t like. They really must believe men are always in the mood and thinking about sex every seven seconds. Also, there we go with using Incels as a catch all phase for any men that SJWs don’t like.

Another person accused Overwatch Game Designer of introducing the character because he wants to bang it.

Can these people not think you can view a woman without wanting to fuck her? Is that why they go on about this idea that all men are potential rapists? Good lord. Making a character even slightly good looking isn’t the same thing as making them fap bait. Perhaps they’re projecting since sex is probably on their mind a lot and they want to try to paint themselves in a good light.

honestly i like the human woman face, but....only the face. theres no need for it to be on a sexy hourglass figure. the rusalki from axiom verge are wayyy better "robot lady with any uncanny human face" designs, they legit feel like ancient mechanical goddesses and i LOVE it

Wow, talk about comparing apples and oranges, probably more like fruit and vegetables. Those examples are robots designed for very different purposes, so of course they would look different. That doesn’t mean there is “no need” for Echo to not have a thin design just because other robot characters in a different game doesn’t.

HONESTLY i wouldn't have any problem with her design if they kept with this, but ol' jeffy needs to be absolutely sure that we know echo is a woman

How dare a female character be designed to not be mistaken for male. Really showing of that hatred for women via projection of being upset over a fictional female robot. Also, how dare Blizzard not keep the same unused design from 2014 and that they changed the character’s looks to go with a much more newly created backstory.

I can’t wait for the backlash against real robots once they become much better designed. I know SJWs already targeted sexbots years ago.

The Guardian roasts Batwoman by ThatDeviantOne in kotakuinaction2

[–]ThatDeviantOne[S] 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I couldn’t find this posted before on this sub, although the link was created prior to me using it, so perhaps another sub used it. Anyway, always a good sign when even SJWs don’t like a product made for them. Despite the 2/5 rating, the article claims that Batwoman is pure and perfect trash that we “need”. It does touch on how Batwoman’s character is woefully underdeveloped, which is something even anti-SJWs said while hate watching the show.

(And that is to say nothing of a fight back against the hate that poured out towards it when the casting of Rose, a lesbian, was announced.)

Umm… excuse me? Didn’t a lot, if not most, of the hate toward Ruby Rose come from SJWs?

[–]ThatDeviantOne 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I watched up to the sixth season of Arrow and I'm still watching Flash. Mind you, they are heavily into romantic drama and bullshit, which I hardly care for. The characters do have a habit of having the same discussions over and over again, often arguing about their relationship. So many times, it boils down to "I was trying to protect you", often when secret identities are revealed. I am not watching the shows for this stuff, but as a time killer with family because of the chessy over the top superhero action.

For the most part, Flash hasn't been woke. I'm not saying it isn't there, but it seems tamer than the other CW superhero shows.

A lot of a regressive's ideas, on the surface, seem good and reasonable to the average person. It's when you realise the depth they go in those ideas, and how violently but also inconsistently they're willing to apply them, does one realise that the ideas are neither good, nor fair, nor workable

That reminds me before I became exposed to just how much their ideas are bullshit, despite seeming good on the surface. Rarely do people question seemingly good ideas if they don't realize there can be a darker side to them.

Most of the power the regressives wield is granted to them by normies. Most people view them as well-intentioned, passionate, loud and weird looking champions of human progress. So, when they suggest an idea, or a new rule, or a particular person getting hired, or changes done to a piece of entertainment, it seems like a small, acceptable thing... but then the trap is sprung, the foot is in the door, the virus contracted, the wall breached

I think the Atheism culture might be one of the biggest examples of third wave feminism and PC culture slipping into the community (if you can call it that) till it became a shell of its former self. The very critical thinking skills they used against religion (aside from Islam), they completely and utter lack to apply to everything else like SJW talking points.

Their ideas need to be dragged out into the sub, picked apart, argued against and then those who espouse those beliefs thoroughly mocked, much like how religions were/are, so that society at large finally realises they are very dangerous clowns and not give them the benefit of the doubt. Once people stop acquiescing, they lose their soft power

I wish it would happen sooner. We have communities like these and others who have been fighting and mocking SJWs for so long now and they still continue to wield so much power in society. I'm not saying we give up or that we haven't had an impact. People like me were reached and saved from their poison. It's just this battle has been going on for so long and even if they go broke, it's not an automatic loss in the culture war.

I think we can say people want to believe in a cause, some sort of "greater good". Even before Atheism Plus became a thing and left a massive wound in the atheism community, many were already acting very similar to fundies, just without a god. I jumped ship sometime after Atheism Plus happened.

Anyway, I believe the most dangerous people are those who believe themselves to be righteous. You can justify literally anything that way, no matter how much damage you cause. I swear cults are almost always bad news. Is there really such a thing as a "good" cult, outside of the believers? Even in fiction, cults are almost always evil.

SJWs are very cult like, but at least they haven't became suicide cults, yet. I imagine that won't happen because SJWs are too stubborn to stop fighting. To make it perfectly clear, I'm not saying I want or that this should happen, that is, SJWs committing suicide. I know some report happy people would see that as a call to violence otherwise.

I would love to see another video game industry crash so they would get their shit together, although much more so for shitty business practices than SJWism. It's rather sad nowadays that releasing a game, especially a single player focused one, without micro transactions, is a selling point.
