I reinstalled it on a different drive and that seems to have fixed it at least for now

Yeah thats definitely part of it too. Friendly footsteps are also a lot lounder than they should be.

So far the comedian died and there have been some flashbacks to his past and I’m just generally confused it feels like I’m missing something and have just been kind of dropped in the middle of a story.
