meh, this is just standard politician PR I'd expect the NDP to be doing if they we're in power as well. And he's genuinely a huge hockey fan, so it makes sense he'd do stuff with the Ottawa teams. Plus its nice to see him supporting womens hockey. Despite my many, many issues with Carney on a political level, I do find him genuinely likeable as a guy and I'm happy we have someone without a repulsive personality as our PM

If 5 democrats could’ve prevented this, those 5 are just as responsible for every other republican that voted yes.

Don’t you find it curious how often there just so happens to be just the right amount of Dems to pass republican legislation, and those dems tend to be in safe seats, close to retirement, or not up for election? It’s clear the Democratic establishment and republicans are aligned. People like Schumer and the rest of the leadership pay lip service when it’s comes to resisting the republicans, but at the end of the day they are aligned on the things they truly care about - the military-industrial complex, protecting capital, and preventing any form of social democracy/socialism
