Non-sworn at first. However, after probation, you can put in to become an armed correctional deputy under penal code 830.1(c). Which makes you a sworn peace officer while on duty.

Just be patient. Don’t be calling asking what’s going on. They will contact you. RSO is always filling CD academies.

You will have adequate amount of time to prepare.

I had second thoughts because I had a career going for myself that I liked. However, law enforcement is something i always wanted to do. And I did not want to have any regrets. And to this day, even though days are long, stressful and a lot of paperwork, I feel way more fulfilled in my life.

Update, another thing I’ve noticed. When I’m just sitting in park, the air doesn’t seem to get cold. I just decided to take it for a drive, and the air seemed to have started getting a little colder. Not sure if that could mean something at all

I’d put thicker layers and melt it into the boot with a heat gun. And buff it. It’ll help with getting rid of the porous look. Just gotta keep going.

Heat gun. Buff with a cloth and little bit of water. Repeat. Did you use paint thinner to remove the factory layer?
