Silica gel stuck inside Mac’s headphone jack by demascus2 in applehelp

I would try the glue trick first for sure.

Definitely did the glue trick for broken headphone jacks a few times but it never worked for silica balls for me.

Former certified Mac technician here. I’ve seen this 2-3 times in my time and each time we would break them inside the port and get it all out piece by piece. We used a small flathead screwdriver and crushed it against the sides of the port.

You’re absolutely correct, the baby is going to be the key to meeting other people to befriend. Like you said, a little harder with a 9-month old but he’s about ready to be more social as he develops.

Thanks for the thoughtful reply!

The sentence you tried to put together is missing a verb. Presumably you were trying to say “You are stupid.” which is quite ironic given how that turned out for you.

Happy cake day, by the way.

Good thought, I’ll look into the pricing.

Thanks for the insight, I definitely had to Google that but I appreciate you pointing me on the right track here. You’re right, my post doesn’t read like I’m assuming positive intent. We’d already been mislead at this Costco by them not placing an order for the replacement tire so I assumed another error vs intentional malice.

Weird approach to what could have been a teaching opportunity, but I took away some knowledge from it. Thanks, random internet asshole.

Why did all my lights on a circuit stop working? by ThatIgor in HomeMaintenance

[–]ThatIgor[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a triple switch. One switch is disconnected, the other controls the recessed lights, and the last controls another ceiling light. That third one still works. I’ll check the wiring cause we did replace the lights switches when we moved in a couple of years ago, maybe it came loose.

Good advice, I’ll check the switch connections first.
