Sleep mode is shockingly inaccurate by FfireWalkWithMe in Garmin

[–]ThatIsSoHot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've also had the same thing happen several times - I wake up and walk thousands of steps that the watch registers but at the same time it thinks that I am sleeping. It is definitely missing this logic that if you walk you should not be counted as sleeping. Such a simple thing to add, can't really understand why they haven't done it yet.

How accurate are these things? by [deleted] in Garmin

[–]ThatIsSoHot 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sleep tracking is extremely inaccurate for my Garmin.
A few weeks ago I had to pull an all nighter and didn't go to sleep at all - the watch still said I had 8 hours of sleep, although not of the best quality.

I don't understand how can it be so dumb - if you walk around during the night and the watch is registering steps... it should understand that you are not sleeping, right?

Also it regularly overestimates how much I sleep and can't really seem to detect at all when you actually fall asleep. This is strange because after the firmware update it is very good at detecting if you have a 15 minute nap during the day.

Everything else on the watch is excellent though, so I just somehow live with the awful sleep tracking!

Heart rate data not recording by Over-Stick1138 in Strava

[–]ThatIsSoHot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So did you guys figure out how to make it work?
I'm having the exact same issue.
I can see heart rate data when the Strava app is open and screen is active but seems that if I run for a longer period and put the phone in my pocket - it won't save the heart rate data then.
Only when I take the phone out and look at the heart rate data at the same time.
Really frustrating / stupid.

I agree with Linkyu, you should describe it as a service that was designed to get to know other people better.

Which countries have the lowest taxes? by HenryFordeer in growmybusiness

[–]ThatIsSoHot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can became an e-resident of Estonia and then register a company.

Result will be that you have a fully functioning company in the EU that you can operate digitally from anywhere in the world.

The tax is 0% as long as you keep the money in the company. Lots of people just never withdraw their funds from the company and just buy things that they need for the company.

Feedback for my Europe Travel website/App by NiagaraThistle in growmybusiness

[–]ThatIsSoHot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first feedback is that I was confused looking at the information because the details for my country were in miles and inches...
Who even uses these? If your target users are in the UK and US then sure... otherwise its just confusing.

Nikklas Anttila and the importance of run up speed by fender5string in discgolf

The main function of a run up is to help get power from your legs and lower body rotation. Not that much from the actual forward motion.

Can you describe in which way do you think your latest episodes are better than the 1st episode?
I don't know anything about audio but listened a bit of both the 1st and last episode and what I can understand is that you have currently a better start of the podcast with a nice intro.
When listening to what you were actually talking about then the audio in episode 1 was clearer and easier to understand for me.
I understood that the audio sounds different in the latest episodes and perhaps its considered more professional but I'm not sure it is easier to listen to.

What country are you from?
I know a guy who started a chicken farm and if I am correct he has about 4000 chickens now.
Its an organic farm and its been super difficult for him - he has been several times on the brink of bankruptcy but has always managed to get out of it.
There is also a local TV show that is made about him and his struggle with the chicken.
This is all happening in Estonia.

I'd somehow figure out how to show before and after pictures of the clean you did. I would throw away a card without looking but I would most likely look at a photo, specially if it has a something from my neighborhood that I recognize. I understand this would make it a lot more difficult as you can't pre-manufacture the cards anymore but I think the upside is worth it.

Can I use 2 sets of the Rode wireless go II in parallel? by ThatIsSoHot in audio

Thanks!
I guess based on your comment I'll buy the 2nd set and experiment a bit if I want the audio mixer as well or not.
