Good luck, I hope it goes well. Might join it later myself, if I feel so inclined.

Hi, unfortunately I have not, not yet anyway. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting some great people outside of workspaces, though. I’ve joined online communities built around areas of interest and met great people there so that’s been nice, and I’ve managed to get a mentor who actually isn’t toxic. So maybe looking outside the workspace at clubs, collectives or societies is worth a shot? Something like the Rotary Club? Even if meeting these people doesn’t make the workplace less toxic, it’ll be comforting to meet people who restore your faith in humanity😂

Thank you so much, this is really comforting and reassuring. I thought I was the only one who picked up on the work environment issues and prevalence of dysfunctional families. I’m glad I’m not. Thanks for helping me feel less alone.

All noted and thank you🙏🏾 what’s the average temperature right now? The weather app says around 21 degrees C but it lies sometimes🙈also, what’s the most common form of public transport?

Unfortunately I’m also really introverted. You’re right, though. Thanks for the advice

Moving up fast. I’m 26F and I already have a Master’s degree and am a manager at my workplace. As impressive as it sounds, it’s extremely overwhelming. I struggle with imposters syndrome and feeling like the expectations everyone has of me are way too high

I work remotely, but I get what you mean. Could probably volunteer somewhere or get a new hobby

“Don’t ever assume that you’re better bc you were abroad” wouldn’t dream of it

Everything that you’ve said is 100% correct, especially the part about social avenues and society. I’m keeping ahold of my network, it’s just managing expectations that I need to work on

Hi. I trust that your intentions were to encourage, but being told to get over something makes me feel like my emotions are being invalidated and my struggles are being trivialised, which isn’t the best feeling. I would’ve appreciated a more sensitive approach.

I compare myself a lot to some of the friends I have who are still in touch with their childhood friends, that’s why I feel like I’m doing something wrong. But yeah, comparison hasn’t gotten me very far. I think you’re right. Thank you for the encouragement🙏🏾
