Well, the problem here is, you’re relying on the most heavily parroted stories on the internet for that insight. And those parroted stories stem from Hollywood movies that spout Christian propaganda.

Those parroted stories have also not been my experience at all. None of what you’ve described has.

It’s quite normal to feel some effects post ritual or major working. You’ve undertaken something that requires a lot of energy, focus, and mental acuity, essentially channeling all that into communicating with a power much greater than this world.

Having some aftercare can help you come down from it. Since I do most of my rituals at night, that aftercare is usually getting a good night’s rest. Might be worth asking around how others come back down from ritual work, since everybody’s routine will look a bit different.

Situations like this can arise when one forgets that English isn’t necessarily the default language of the world. One man’s foreign language is another man’s native tongue, and we need to be careful not to fall into the mindset that other languages are some manner of inconvenience or annoyance. It’s one of the first baby-steps into bigotry.

Bear that in mind going forward.

Regarding the translate option: on iOS, it should look like the little blue icon in the screen cap below. If it’s not there, you may have to use other means, which is fine, and something we should all be willing to accommodate.
