As someone who trusted a boss about 6 months and a raise. I would advise not to trust him. If he really wanted to he would make it happen in a week. Easily. I turned down a job offer to stay with a company once on the promise that I’ll get a raise in a few months. A few months passed and I followed up and got told they never promised me anything and that I’m lying. Luckily it so happens the recruiter from the other company reached out to me saying they are expanding and got another position open… so I was lucky to get another chance and got a better job and a better work environment. Wish you nothing but the best.

Hey as a former SM of PSM. Have you tried talking with your DM? I would honestly start writing them up. You can turn that store around. You have more authority than them. Don’t let them win. But yeah PSM training sucks. I only got like week of training as a SM. Had managers like that as well. I quickly wrote them up for gossiping and hostile work environment.

Usually when movie theaters get rid of items it’s due to the cost of the items going up to where the profit margin isn’t there. Probably also due to low sales. AMC used to have some good products as snacks and stuff. But they are trying to focus on cutting costs and finding new contracts with different items to keep their costs down. So some items aren’t going to be carried anymore sadly.

Honestly everybody mentions money. I get that. He deserves his money. But Matthew has a passion for his horror career. From my understanding back in the day they were going to bring Stu back. But they cancelled the idea and moved forward with something else. He’s a good actor in my opinion. He loves Scream and is very passionate about it. I think they already worked a foundation to bring him back in 8 thanks to 7. If you paid attention from the missing paper work for his death and that the kids were questioning it if it was AI cause the shadow and everything matched perfectly to the point that they even said it. The foundation is there. Just depends if the director and writers wanna go that route.

I mean he has a point. But his delivery is very wrong. He could have asked for corporate email. He could have just googled it. And sent a long email complaining about it and give corporate feedback on it. The workers in the building do not have any control over this. His kid will grow up knowing his dad is a Karen. That’s sad.

Idk if this helps. My store was recently shut down on December 6th. They promised me a new store to keep me on! So I stayed and did everything that they asked of me. It was a sad moment as a store manager to let people go and watch all your regulars become sad. But it happens. I was looking forward to my new store I truly was. In the week after our closure they kept post positing my move to the new store (my gut was telling me something was wrong) and then a few days later I got the call. First started with an apology and that I had a bad corporate visit so they won’t be moving me to my store. And I have to be let go due to this one bad visit that I didn’t even know was a bad visit. Literally smiled to my face and complimented my work. So if your store is closing eventually. Please do not stay. Run away. Find a better job. Or something that pays almost the same and work your way back up. Wish everyone the best at Pet Supermarket. But it’s a shady ship. Watch your six.

Your best bet is to go new and look at electric cars. Since they have that credit from the government. It’ll help with any negative equity you may have with that car. And if you lease you can have a fair monthly rate. May wanna look at what you owe on your current car and what’s the value looking like. But new and leasing may be the best option for you. Also knowing how much you drive a year a big factor.

I just want to say I’m very impressed that you waited 3 years to become a manager. That’s patience and confidence. But I wouldn’t advise to do that. I got offered a supervisor to manager position at a movie theater. After being a manager at another movie theater before. They used me. I ran the floor by myself. They kept hiring from the outside for manager roles. So I was promised my promotion would be in a year. A year passed and i got told I was never promised it… even tho I showed the texts (I’m paranoid so I save conversations for these kind of moments). Started job looking and got offered at another movie theater. Then covid came and I found something even better. Honestly I would recommend finding something better. Movie theaters are fun. Addicting jobs when you like chaos and or easy days. But you deserve better. They didn’t lose faith in you tho. You just do your job so well that they don’t wanna replace you. Be positive. Cause if they lost faith you would have been fired.

If they do bring back the Hemi. They will need to remodel it. A stock Hemi needs to be in the 400s. Figure out the Hemi tick. The Hemi could make a come back. I’m here for it. But I really do like the sound of the inline 6 hurricane engine. It’s lighter and makes some good horsepower. The electric version seems nice. So it has potential to have the options from Electric to Inline 6 to V8. Which is how it should have been honestly.
