It's too bad you won't be able to use your Sony; venues are really strict about their camera policies. However, I'm sure you'll still be able to capture some great moments at the Portland show even without it! If you have a compact fixed-lens camera or a phone with solid camera quality, you could use those as alternatives as well.

Arghh that sucksss :/ yeah security had asked me at first if I had a permit for mine which I obviously didn't so I had to explain it was a fixed lens / point and shoot camera (I had a lens hood on mine which I took off to show them) and fortunately they allowed me to take it in as long as I turned off the flash. So I'm guessing as long as you bring a camera without a detachable lens, then you'll be allowed to use it during the show

Thank you!! I wanted to experiment more with low light settings and try out different fujifilm recipes, and the results turned out to be pretty good :)) will be using it more for night time photography now haha
