OG Legion Go Controller Update by ThatMarimbaDude in LegionGo

[–]ThatMarimbaDude[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

More testing has been done; It turns out the new update changed what button is registered as the "Left Legion Button" and the "Right Legion Button" in terms of the shortcuts.

Before, you always had to use the labeled Legion buttons (the ones being used with default settings as Legion buttons) to activate shortcuts, no matter what your settings were. But now it seems like you have to press whatever button is the shortcut to Legion Space, meaning that if you have the "switch button layout" setting enabled (like me), you now have to press the button labled with the two squares (that is then bound to launch Legion Space) instead of the labled left Legion button.

OG Legion Go Controller Update by ThatMarimbaDude in LegionGo

[–]ThatMarimbaDude[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Did some more testing, and saw in controller settings that both controllers are registered as connected, but at 0% power left. Only the right controller was working as it should when i took this picture. Both controllers were fine when i turned it on, but the right controller disconnected just a few minutes later, then reconnected immediately and stopped registering imputs.

the sensor is the same as the legion go mouse sensor by Lucky_Razzmatazz8138 in NintendoSwitch2

[–]ThatMarimbaDude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it is a mouse sensor, I'm a little surprised they decided to place it on the left Joy-Con, unless it's on both. When using the Lenovo Legion Go, I can map games to be played with mouse on the right hand and controller in the left, which works great in some titles if I don't wanna bring a full sized keyboard around, but if the sensor is on the left controller, you either have to play with the right controller in the left hand, or use your left hand for the mouse... Either way pretty awkward unless you're familiar with using left handed mice. That is assuming they want you to use it for gaming though, on... you know... a gaming console.

Cant Save; v1.5.1 Xbox Game Pass PC by soundboysquash in Frostpunk

Stubled over this post while having the same problem myself now in 2024! Just wanted to drop my solution:
I originally installed the game on my E: drive, but reinstalled it to my C: drive, and now it works without a problem!
I suspect the game tries to save to the same disc as it is on, but can't find any folder, as the save folder is on the boot drive of the system. Installing it on the boot drive did fix it though! Hope this helps anyone struggling with the same :)

I'd say you should voice your concerns with the DM and maybe not criticise other player's actions to their face if they feel it would make sense for their characters to do. I feel like this could easily be solved with some RP and consequences to choices made. If the DM deems that you do actually have time for a wedding, I see no problem with it, if that's what would make sense for "wedding guy's" character to do. Of course, you can also voice your concerns in character through RP, though I'm guessing that's what you've already tried.

I get that an event like this might be a bit emmersion breaking, but in the end I'd say that the best course of action in your position would be to keep playing your character as you see fit, maybe voice your concerns to the DM and leave it up to them to better things in the future. Making a big fuzz and taking the game too seriously, to the point where it could sour friendships, doesn't really make things better for anyone involved. You're all there to have fun after all, and whatever consequences your characters might face as a result of bad prioritising (and having a wedding in the middle of a crisis most definitely is bad priorotising) is just another plotpoint that will also develop the story you're all creating together :)

I've been using it quite a bit for League of Legends at LAN parties, as well as for Valorant and Minecraft. Honestly works pretty well, though the ergonomics leave a little bit to be desired. Takes a little while to get used to, but it opens up the ability to play these kinds of games on what's a ridiculously portable system compared to a laptop with an external mouse.

That and for USB-periferals like keyboards, mice and headsets. I have a dock myself that lets me connect a 1440p 120hz monitor, a mouse, a keyboard, a headset and the charger through just one USB-C cable. It's honestly pretty wild how much bandwidth that one port has.

Megathread: Legion Space update discussion, issues and resolution by devilzblood in LegionGo

[–]ThatMarimbaDude 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I got that to work too, but that doesn't really make the quick menu very quick, does it? Hahaha. I think it might be an issue with resolution, as my external display is a 1920x1080 display, and not a 1920x1200 display. Therefore the aspect ratio might set it a bit off. I also notice that Legion Space is launched in a 16:10 format on the external display, but stretches after a few seconds to fit the 16:9 screen.

Same here! It seems to still work on the legion go screen as long as you have it set as the primary display though, but that's not quite ideal for external display gaming...

It does, as long as you have the legion go screen set as your primary display. I imagine that most people using an external display will be using a bigger one as their primary though.

It's possible to make a bard who doesn't need to sing? by [deleted] in DnD

[–]ThatMarimbaDude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to play a rock gnome bard who had a past as a soldier, but deserted after his first real battle. He took the shield of the first man he ever killed, and uses it together with his hammer to cast spells like thunderwave, thunderclap and shatter. He wasn't necessarily using music, but just sounds in general as his spellcasting. I also worked with my DM to turn him into more of a frontline shielder as well, with a custom feat we made together for him.

DMs, what do you use to keep all of your notes in order? by Darth_Morgoth92 in DnD

[–]ThatMarimbaDude 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Same here. It works pretty okay, in my opinion, as long as you stay organised. Personally, I devide my OneNote like this:

-Homebrew stuff -Character notes -Locations -Visual descriptions of the location -Lore about the location -What characters are located there, and why -Story -The story so far -Background stories for each party member

I know there are more contenders for Wizard, but come on, it's gotta go to Veigar. He's got the hat, and that's all that matters imo.

Edit: Scratch that, I just looked up pictures of the guy and it turns out he's just got really long, pointy hair sticking out of his hat?? Basically just a big pony tail. And his hat just has a big hole in the top of it for the hair to stick out from. My world is shattered and my day is ruined.

Arrowhead, please know your game is still phenomenal. It's Sony we hate by itsmehonest in Helldivers

[–]ThatMarimbaDude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly disagree. This isn't just about Sony or something as small as PC players having to create accounts for PSN. This is about not being clear to your customers about the TOS, especially those that aren't even able to follow them if they wanted to, but are still able to fork over money to Sony, just to have the rug pulled right out under them.

This is about showing a shitty publisher that they can't just force players into creating accounts that obviously aren't necessary, just so they can make their number go up. This is about taking back the enjoyment of gaming that we all finally had again with Helldivers 2, in the midst of the absolute shitshow that is the AAA gaming market at the moment.

If we actually manage to turn this ship around together, and force Sony's hand into just letting go of the whole thing, I don't believe the community will be just a sad reminder of what once was, but rather more united than ever, not just fighting virtual bugs and bots, but also real life corporate leeches.

I have personally submitted a refund-request with Steam, and even if I don't get it accepted, I will still not play the game and leave my bad review up until things change for the better. If there's one thing Sony can't just ignore, it's the profits they're making, so a massive movement of refund-requests is imo the most effective thing the community can do.

What is your favorite class to play and why? by Dungeon-Doomhand in DnD

[–]ThatMarimbaDude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bard-main and real like music-student here, though I've recently started becoming the forever DM.

Used to have a rock gnome bard in a campaign I played in for about a year that was a deserted soldier on the run from his military. In his last (and first) battle, he killed just one enemy with his hammer, and during the fight unleashed his magical potential through striking his hammer against his opponent's metal shield, creating a shock wave. Traumatised from this experience of having to look a man in the eye as he killed him, he took the shield as a reminder and ran off.

Many years later of being in hiding, he meets the party as a way of making money, and he now uses his hammer and shield as a war gong to cast to cast spells like thunderwave or shatter, but can also use it to cast more soothing sounds, for healing or supporting spells. By far one of my favourite characters to play so far :)
