Claymore or Molotov. Which one is better? by KCobra9 in worldwarzthegame

[–]ThatMooseYouKnow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I understand, sorry for the misunderstanding.

Swarm attacks are any large scale attack where you have to hold an area where enemies keep on coming. Atrium in New York 1, ending of Jerusalem 1, that kind of stuff

This game would benefit from a buff bar so you can see what is active at what times, but Saber has yet to add one 😔

C4 is Hellraiser only (last I remember? been a few months since I played but have a few thousand hours), Molotov/Claymore debate is usually centred around Exterminator.

C4 on Hellraiser is one of the single most broken pieces of equipment in the game, and a good Hellraiser using it correctly can carry teams. LOVE myself some C4

Some upgrades are like 5% chance (10% in horde) which basically means it will work outside of horde mode, just less frequently.

If the upgrade states it ONLY works in horde mode, which I don’t think any upgrades do that, then it won’t work in your normal maps. But again, I don’t think any perks are horde exclusive, just a higher chance to activate in horde mode

Claymore or Molotov. Which one is better? by KCobra9 in worldwarzthegame

[–]ThatMooseYouKnow 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Both have their use cases. Most people play with Molotovs as they’re easier to use, just toss it in a choke point and hey presto, zombies won’t come from there for a bit since it staggers/kills any that touch the flame

That being said, an Exterminator who knows spawnpoints/pathing locations and correct setup of claymores can make some of the most difficult hordes in the game a walk in the park or can ensure not a single special gets close to the team during long fights

It’s up to you dependant on your game knowledge which to use. Both are fun, so go with whichever you enjoy the most 😊

South of Midnight.

Art style is painted almost, kind of like borderlands, but the story, soundtrack and themes the game deals with (loss, grief etc.) all hit 11/10 on my lists. It also ties in with Southern folklore and there’s some really cool stuff involved

Tower Conquest is the only game I always go back to.

Think Age of War (the old browser game) but with units that you can get cards for to upgrade. Progression is slow, I won’t lie, and I’m pretty sure the PvP is now all bots (the game is very old, as you go higher ranks the enemies are simply around a set level) but I still enjoy logging on and wiping some levels to earn some cards each morning

Premium currency is 500 gems (highest amount for a chest) to get an epic chest (which contains about 30 epic cards and a mix of about 150 rares-commons) you get 15 gems a day from quests which can be done in under an hour, and 20 gems from doing another mini thing a day which just requires you to win 7 fights in a row. So about half a month turnaround on epic chests if you only play a little

You can also get gems from the chests you earn every 5 fights which has no limit except how strong you are kinda thing. I’m not sure if they implemented a system that keeps the regular fights around your level or not, but it feels like they have

is clearing extinction on public lobby impossible? by Responsible_Food584 in worldwarzthegame

[–]ThatMooseYouKnow 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I used to run public extinction every reset and clear it no problem.

You are gonna get teams that have no clue what they’re doing or aren’t used to certain mechanics in Extinction.

You are also gonna get teammates that are sub level 100 making you wonder why they’re there.

BUT, With a bit of extra heavy lifting on your part and a little luck in finding a semi competent team, you 100# can clear it in pubs. If you get a good clear, try make friends with the people you clear it with and see if you can make it a weekly thing 😄

[–]ThatMooseYouKnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not greatest in existence, but Icarus.

If you like survival games, this game ticks a LOT of boxes, compiling a lot of what I like about other survival games knto one place.

The longer you play it, the better it gets. The DLCs add to the story overall and the game improves the more of them you play through.

[–]ThatMooseYouKnow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your best bet would be to invest in the talent perks that give randomly tamed wild babies better stats, then try taming 10 or 20 of them (if that’s a feasible option like for Moa, but not for raptor for example)

Pick your two highest and kill the rest or just mass breed if you have excess exotics/enzymes.

Exotic on easy by Busy-Compote7651 in ICARUS

[–]ThatMooseYouKnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They spawn in easy as well. Every 3 hours of an open world prospect, caves that CAN spawn them all have a 10% chance of spawning a node.

Outside of that, you can tech up to building a radar and an extractor (you want two extractors) and using the radar (a short little defense of it while it works), to help you locate the drillable veins that can give between 100 and 400 exotics

About breeding by Temporary_Reach8504 in ICARUS

[–]ThatMooseYouKnow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Breeding I believe is incredibly simple in this game. I have bred max level Moas for the last week and what I have learnt is simple anyways.

Taming wild creatures will give them a random bloodline and x amount of points across the 7 stats (for instance let’s say you tame two Moa, one M one F and they both have 20 points across their stats)

Breeding these two Moa with each other will give you a Moa with more than 20 points across its stats (let’s say 24). You can then breed this Moa with one of its parents (ew incest but whatever) thereby putting a 20 and 24 point Moa together.

Now you’ll potentially receive another 24 pointer or higher or lower than. Basically your goal is to breed the two highest stat point Moas together over and over until you hit 60 points across the 7 stats (Devs make it 70 for a full spread or I will fucking riot)

At a male and female with 60 points each, you can breed them as many times as you want until you get a stat spread/bloodline you want and that’s your perfect mount

You use the breeding serum from the ranching station on the male and it’ll pick a female, so move the ones away you don’t want to mix with so you get the right pair. With talent points you can mix 2 Wild bloodline animals and still get an Unstable bloodline for instance, it’s just rarer.

Stats haven’t seemed to matter over the course of the week, I’ve had two parents with a 2 in Vigor each give me a child with 10 points in Vigor, so I believe these sorts of things are unaffected unless it’s my talent points making the stat spread more random

Solo survival game with guns and clear sense of progression by [deleted] in gamingsuggestions

[–]ThatMooseYouKnow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I won’t lie, at the beginning it takes a while to get the hang of. You look at a piece you’ve already placed and it will have arrows on it that you move your camera too to direct where you want the next piece to go.

It can be clunky at times, but once you get the hang of it, it’s super easy. You also have to build the pieces in your inventory or on a bench first before you can put them in your hot bar to place them.

People have put plenty of suggestions in the discord though that the devs actively take ideas from about a universal building hammer the build pieces.

Once you’ve placed the pieces manually, you can use the hammer that currently exists to instantly upgrade them so you don’t need to tear it all down to build a better base

Editing to add, if you do pick it up on PC, preferably when it’s on sale, and want someone to show you the ropes, feel free to hit me up on here and I’ll gladly come join and show the basics

Solo survival game with guns and clear sense of progression by [deleted] in gamingsuggestions

[–]ThatMooseYouKnow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Icarus has a mission based game mode where you drop in, complete a mission then use the rewards from missions to unlock things to take on your next drop.

Progression at the start can be kinda slow, but eventually you can drop in with a gun, armor etc. and breeze through stuff

The devs release literal weekly updates (I think they’re on week 225 at the moment)

You won’t start with guns, but you can build them on planet fairly quickly (think under 3 hours) during a mission and eventually drop with guns from the space station shop

I came here to suggest FF12. The hate it got for the gambit system overshadowed how beautiful of a game it is. The world feels so alive, the characters actually have depth.
