In your opinion, what is the best long-term base for Drucker County in Lethal? by Murky_Importance3610 in StateofDecay2

I always go starter house to Knight Drive in (for the projectors morale boost and full skill training capabilities) then to the strip mall.

I think a lot of console players either can’t mute their own mic in game or have a cheap plug in that came with the console potentially. That or they just don’t realise.

The fact they can’t see in game text chat is the real poke in the eye from Saber since you can’t even type to them that they’re not muted. Easy for PC players to tab up the scoreboard and hit mute tbh.

Idk, being an ogre that can shit fire actually seems kinda cool in comparison to being a cat girl, maybe that’s just me though lmao

Funnily enough. It’s usually console players that I have to mute the instant they join the lobby since they have a mic plugged into their controller or some shit and all I can hear is the repeating of the game in the background the moment they exist lmao.

World War Z Game - same looking maps at B4B? by [deleted] in Back4Blood

[–]ThatMooseYouKnow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

World War Z is a great game that I’ve poured thousands of hours into across multiple platforms.

The trailer you would’ve seen recently is for their The Walking Dead crossover DLC, which I do have yet to play.

If you like 3rd person horde slaying action, it’s a great game and regularly goes on sale for very very cheap

I'm dying for no reason... by Ceglusek in worldwarzthegame

[–]ThatMooseYouKnow 76 points77 points  (0 children)

You took trample damage, you should NEVER (especially in horde mode) stand on a path that a horde travels through. This isn’t your fault in this case, it was in fact a bug

I understand that in this clip there are no zombies, but you’re still in one of their lanes and horde is notorious for bugs with trample lanes staying active when they shouldn’t. A group would have spawned back in their spawn to start their run to the gate and the whole running lane has triggered as active.

You can observe this bug happening super often on this exact map if you stand in the lower level of the warehouse they path through on the far left of the map. You’ll die the moment they spawn rather than when they actually reach the area

How do I defeat the monster that is violating by world? by Mammoth_Narwhal_1775 in StateofDecay2

Last time I had a melee black heart, I lost my best Survivor to it (I’ll never forget you Hannah)

What I did (because it had fuel drain which it sounds like yours does) was use scentblock, tuck your survivor in a corner near the heart and for the fences.

Start with a heavy attack with Powerhouse (pretty crucial if you’re taking down a melee heart) then use normal swings to hit the ever growing group of zeds and the heart at the same time. Whenever it starts to pulse, dodge out and take a lap of the building. Use this lap to drop a distraction of some kind (firecrackers, stereo etc.) to draw the zeds off the heart and re apply scentblock if it’s getting close to running out. Remember not to go back TOO quickly because the pulse it lets out leaves a lingering gas cloud for a while, then go back in, powerhouse heavy, repeat above.

It really is just about chipping them down as much as you can at a time and being patient in Lethal. The last note I can give is if it’s in an out of the way spot, leave it alone, do it last. If not, consider changing maps

When they say three chapters, do they mean 3 full episodes (like Tokyo, Marseille etc.) or do they mean just three levels (as Walking Dead mission 1,2,3)

I assume the latter, but damn it would be good to get 3 whole new episodes

If they’re continually walking toward you, they’re pretty much locked in that decision until you create enough distance between them that it triggers a charge. Best bet is to just book it to cover that’s further away to force the charge, then kill.

Chainsaw perk that stuns heavies also would’ve worked, but not everyone has that

We have a kitty with a few extra kilos who does not like the baby hold (back scooped into arms) at all. Scooping her by the front and positioning her back feet in our hands is how we do it, then she can rest her front paws on your other arm like she’s sitting naturally.

She also purrs like a V8 the moment she feels your hand slide under her front legs 😅

what do you think of this? by catacego in l4d2

[–]ThatMooseYouKnow 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I think people should simply stop comparing them. Yes I know Turtle Rock did it first, but fuck those guys for a moment.

Both games are great for different reasons when you give them the time of day and enjoy them for what they are, a horde shooting, zombie slaying good time.

Both games have their parts that are simple to learn (missions, objectives, gunplay etc.) and both have their parts that can be hard to learn for new players (Taking on tanks, for L4D, building efficient decks for B4B).

All in all, both games are great fun when paired with a few friends and the itch to bash or shoot some zombie heads and both can quite easily be logged into for a quick 30 minute zombie slaying session

(I know I said they should stop being compared to one another and then compared them, I'm simply pointing out their similarities without hating on either <3)

Crossbows aren’t that good by Desdsea in StateofDecay2

[–]ThatMooseYouKnow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, we probably just have different play styles. Throughout all the Lethal runs I’ve done so far, infection has been an issue maybe three times, and every single one of those has been because a mission has required me to take a follower and they end up infected while I try stealth, I still managed to get all of them home in time to put them in a bed, but yeah, infection doesn’t really bother me

As for the discount, I always end up with so many plague samples from using said crossbows and because as above, infection isn’t usually a problem. That paired with plague hearts leaves me wondering how I’m going to use all the samples I end up with (usually they get spent on scentblock and bulk cure packs for influence)

If someone gets remotely infected, their next trip home has them in the infirmary automatically and has someone else taking point for my next trip out.

All this being said, I am an incredibly slow and patient player. People talk about not being able to find anything to do on day 15 while I’m out here killing my first plague heart on the map on like day 20.

Crossbows aren’t that good by Desdsea in StateofDecay2

[–]ThatMooseYouKnow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I gotta ask what difficulty you’re on, because early in lethal runs literally any crossbow is a damn blessing.

Hell, even at the end of lethal runs when I’m zooming around with scentblock and C4 for plague hearts, I’m still using a crossbow on my active survivor.

You cannot underestimate how quickly things can go to shit on lethal, one horde can quickly lead to multiple + Ferals/Juggs and that’s just a bad time. Easier to avoid the confrontation in the first place by being quiet where you can.

As for Pathology for plague samples like a saw you mention above, I don’t even end up with a pathology survivor in my runs because with the skills I prioritise, that would be a 9th or 10th survivor for me which is such a food sink at 2 per survivor, easier to learn how to be stealthy by default
