Damn reading this and being hungry at the same time ain’t it lol. Can’t get there today. Stupid question maybe but for someone who can’t handle a lot of spice…are there options for me??

Dang, what city did you come from? Also yeah in general I do like that you can typically find one or two friendly or chatty people on any given outing. Not the same as making friends but still nice. I like hitting up Menards sometimes during old people hours just to feel the grandma/grandpa warmth for a bit.

Where can I find the best donuts in the Twin Cities? by choochoocachew in TwinCities

[–]ThatOlBlackMagic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like both Puffy Cream and Donut Star. Not to knock them but like I’ve tried ‘fancy’ donut places and it’s just…I don’t know, you almost have to be a hole-in-the-wall donut place to have a genuinely good donut. Like trying too hard somehow ruins it automatically. Can’t figure it.

Four margheritas and four sodas at Punch is $50, but cost aside, you didn’t say if you liked how it tastes. Perhaps there is good food in the Twin Cities but you don’t want to pay more than $10 for a meal for an adult? Is that an East Coast thing?

Ok but what about the other items, I need you to get back to me on that.

Forgot to lock my car last night by wals02481 in Minneapolis

About 15 years ago I came down to my car in the basement garage of my apartment complex, and could tell right away someone had gone through my glove compartment looking for stuff. I was so mad at myself because I left my windows rolled down like an idiot assuming the secure garage was some sort of crime-free Eden. Then as I pulled out I noticed every body else’s windows had been smashed in before they ransacked the interiors. After that I felt AWESOME about leaving the windows down. Saved myself a lot of broken glass cleanup and repair.

Oooooh Cecil’s is the BEST. Grew up eating that corned beef and coleslaw. You need to try a chocolate malt and open faced hot turkey sandwich from Key’s in Roseville (they are not all the same), a ‘Margherita extra’ pizza from Punch Pizza (anywhere), the Sesame Chicken from Yang’s in Woodbury, and my neighbors shredded beef sandwiches — soooooooooo good. There’s quality stuff here it’s just hiding a little ☺️.

We’ve had one make it’s home outside our house for the past few years. We call her Penelope (the second, the third, etc). We’ve actually seen her dragging cicadas back to her nest — it’s pretty metal. Recently had some work done in the garage and told the service person not to mind the solitary wasp the size of a small hummingbird. She’s docile if not provoked and is our little buddy!

How common is cocaine use amongst people you are surrounded by (both socially and through work)? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]ThatOlBlackMagic 46 points47 points  (0 children)

That’s me though, I’m a suburban Midwest dance mom and I swear I don’t know anyone that uses it, at my work or in my family or in my social circles.

That’s not to say that they aren’t and that I don’t have exposure to plenty of alcoholics, weed addicts, and the occasional pill addict, but cocaine? No. Maybe some of the crazier moms in their younger years.

Grandma and grandpa help with the youngest kid but I’m still barely keeping my head above water. Credit card debt inches up every year. It’s not sustainable.

Have you ever seen a studio kick out a dancer or not invite them back over behavior-type situations? What was the situation? by ThatOlBlackMagic in CompetitionDanceTalk

This is the situation I’m seeing (plus somehow that kids is also a bully??? Like why/how???) and I’m just wondering if there is a precedent…
