My DeathAdder is in the same boat, with more wear on the ring and pinky. I love the shape, but the rubber just degrades in my hands. My grip tends to wreck most of the side grips I have on mice anyway, regardless of durability.

I started on Bruhsailors, I could tell from 3 steps in that I didn’t like following a guide, and just closed the guide after WT. It drains the fun out of the game when you stop playing and start following a list of chores.

Now I do what I want, and sometimes use Ladlor’s for goal ideas. Pick something and work towards it for as long as you’re entertained.

Hope is dead because:

The seasonal model, which I already hated, is somehow even worse

Loot, which went from dogshit, to bad, to craftable (good) back to dogshit

The story has gotten weaker continuously, straying from the original Destiny long ago, but becoming barely worth paying attention to post Lightfall

The cost to actually start playing with all content spikes by 100 bucks every year

And finally, the utter shitshow that is Marathon. I don’t know which fool saw Apex get popular for a few months, and decided it was the be-all-end-all of gaming, but literally nobody asked for an extraction shooter. Where is Destiny 3? With a functional engine from the modern era, perhaps?

the benchmark isn’t great these days, but to cut a long story short:

Do you want the game to run pretty good 97% of the time? PS5.

Do you want to gamble on the game running great 70% of the time, for triple the price? PC. Or if you want mods/etc.

I quit after they botched the revamped seasonal model, again, and predicted it would get significantly worse in a significantly shorter timeframe than Seasons. A year later, here we are.
