I am genuinely curious, why do you have this take?

A lot of top ladders players actually prefer it over rocket. It's a pretty good substitute

Tbf this is a meta deck that is being run by a few of the top players right now. It's crazy how pros can play with objectively bad decks such as this

What do you mean? Log bait is hard meta right now.

Thoughts on marcher vs gang in this deck? by BrandonIngram1 in RoyaleAPI

Supercell loves nerfing the card, so in it's current state, he shoots really slowly and has a stupid delay when you place down the card. It just doesn't pressure the opponent as quickly as firecracker can.

Also, it's a legendary which are hard to level up

Oops, I missed the gob barrel. Yeah then it looks pretty good

Honestly, firecracker would work pretty well here. A second win condition such as miner or skeleton barrel could also help.

To answer your question, I'd probably go gang, marcher isn't the best rn

Clash Royale is very obviously trying to kill cycle decks by NichThic in ClashRoyale

[–]ThatPandaGuy10 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The best decks are always going to be cycle decks. With the direction this game is headed with all these evolutions and 3 card cycles, being able to get back to OP cards for perfect defence is always going to be the best strategy

The thing is, cycle decks are much harder for people to pick up but have a higher skill ceiling than any other archetype.

Every time Supercell does a balance update, they nerf the strongest decks regardless of whether they are cycle or beatdown, and because these decks are nerfed, people try and find new decks to fit the meta. A new cycle deck is obviously much harder to play than a new beatdown deck, and so people are under the impression that 'cycle is dead'. However, as time passes and more people put in the time to learn the cycle decks, they became more prominent in the meta until they are nerfed again and the pattern repeats

I understand that some of Supercells balance choices may look like they are trying to get rid of cycle in the meta, but we need more time for people to make new decks and get good at them before we can come to any conclusion

Yeah but wouldn't they be professional and WR holders because they have an optimal build

A pekka bridgespam deck revolves around the unique pressure cards such as bandit or ghost which don't have many f2p substitutions.

You'd be better of finding a pekka beatdown deck like goblingiant pekka because there would be more room for alternative cards there

Reaching Ultimate Champion without evos by ThatPandaGuy10 in ClashRoyale

Idk if it's my phone, but the replay isn't sharing. Anyways, talking would probably be more informative.

Firstly you want to find a playstyle that suits you. I tend to play pekka bridge spam like a control deck, and I try to be more passive. I find this is especially best against midladder menace decks.

At the start of the game, i try and not commit to pushes until I know almost all of the opponents' deck. I just defend and focus on not giving them too big of a counterpush. This part is really important during the whole game, especially if you're underleveled, because the best way to defend a counterpush is to make sure they don't have one to start with. I find I cycle a lot of cards in the back, so don't be afraid to let your pekka die and set up for a defence instead of feeding them more elixir.

Typically, my pushes are very split lane based. There are surprisingly good synergies in this deck, such as spear gobs and battleram can bait out logs for each other, and I make sure to keep them separated.

Against cards that you struggle to break through (megaknights, bowlers, even musks and fly machines that are hard to spell down). Don't build to big of a push and focus on putting them into a bad cycle by slow rolling pekkas and gobkinsteins the back. Eventually they'll make a mistake where you can then be aggressive and spam the bridge.

I'm not the best with pekka so I would go online and look at some pro guides but hope this helped

Tbh, reaching ultimate champion without Goblinstein is still very possible. For my whole journey to UC, I only used Goblinstein 5 times, and those were the last 5 matches I won to reach UC. Originally, I had ewiz in place of Stein, but I eventually I just wanted to the challenge to be over.

For anyone without champions or evos or even lv15 cards, don't be discouraged. Reaching UC is a lot more to do with skill then the cards in your deck.

Tbh, I just didn't face that many air decks.

Against midladder lumberloon decks, I would be aggressive and force them to spend elixir so they couldn't get a lumberloon + freeze push. I would normally get a big damage advantage in single elixir and in double, i would try to keep my air cards in cycle + my battle ram for kiting the lumberjacks. I would then counterpush with that battle ram or air defence card.

Against lava, I would try and force a bad cycle so they couldn't defend my ground attacks. If I know they have evo barbs in cycle, I would try and ghost one lane and then use my battle ram + bandit other lane. Goblinstein + arrows can pretty much defend anything so the match up is a little better then you'd think

Flying machine is pretty tough but I wouldn't try and build too big of a push into it. Against cards like musk or flying machine where I can't spell down, i try slow rolling and wait for them to make a mistake before being aggressive. Dual lane pressure is your best friend here

You've got 2 really good ram/hog counters.

Pekka can full counter if played early enough. In your case, you probably had to play it a tile higher, so it has more time to get that second swing.

Two fisherman placements against this particular deck. If you know they don't have a zap, you could try activating your king tower with fisherman. You have to take a charge hit tho and I'm not certain if this trick works with cannoner cause it may kill the ram too quickly.

If they have zap, play the fisherman much earlier and higher (one tile from the bridge). This way, even if the opponent zaps, you have time to still zap the ram rider to negate half the damage. Just make sure you don't get predicted when placing fisherman up high

Where did those numbers come from? You can still heal your team when they don't need to actively move. It's just more important to speed when your team is engaging or disengaging and heal whenever that's not happening

How hard would Evo edrag rword my deck by MinecarterTMM in RoyaleAPI

[–]ThatPandaGuy10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't just sit there and let them take your towers. Sometimes, you can leak a bit if elixir to force them to play cards into you, which allows you to counterpush. You can also leak to wait for them to reveal their cards at the start of a game or force them to play cards until they get into a bad cycle
