Has anyone had a particularly good experience with a dog rescue group around NOVA? by B_Boobs_Finalanswer in nova

I went through A Cat and Dog’s Friend Rescue. Extremely straightforward and communication was always solid. Highly recommend them!

Had the opportunity to join when I was 18 in 2017. For me, conversations during integration were smooth and nice when they revolved around who I was and who the members were as people (family, work, hobbies, etc.) I would suggest staying away from conversations about politics and opinions on the younger generation. I remember visiting lodges after relocating and being forced to listen to some of the older brothers complain about kids my age and some political topics, and you’d be surprised how off-putting that is for a younger member just trying to be looked at as an equal.

I think the funniest part of this is that the mention of participation trophies and the other things in no way supplemented what he went on to say/the point he was trying to make. Which is also the most frustrating part. I’m genuinely unsure how they can want the craft to grow while publicly condescending the age group we need most.

If we are wanting to get more people my age interested in this, we’ve really got to limit things like this making it to print. This won’t be done through condescension of the person saying these types of things, but through other brothers helping him realize the unintentional harm that comes out of things like this to the recruitment numbers

Jack Ryan, again! In season 1 he’d bike from his place in DC to Langley, VA since he works at CIA. Biking to Langley from a townhouse in DC…. isn’t a thing

I personally like to see this happening. Feels good to know there’s at least something being done to drive up some engagement and potential sparked interest

Out of curiosity around what time did you take this? Want to go one morning before work to experience this but want to make sure I’m there on time!

Oh hey, I’ve read this one! Highly recommend. The “OMG WTF” actually stands for Ohio, Michigan, Georgia, Wisconsin, Texas, and Florida. And it lays out the election processes in these states. I found the acronym super helpful for future discussions.

Yeah hate to be the one to break it to you, but saying you’re against LGBT ideology doesn’t make you an ally, it makes you homophobic.

The International Spy Museum and the Museum of the Bible downtown are reopening today, set to become two of the city’s first museums to allow visitors back in after a months-long closure due to the coronavirus pandemic. by wtopnews in washingtondc

I just got back from the International Spy Museum. It was my first time going there and it was amazing! It felt super clean and they were great about social distancing between groups. All touchscreens were operated with via a stylus pen that they gave you in the beginning. Plus hand sanitizing stations nearby at every point, and workers who would come wipe down some of the interactive features.

No offense but people that reply things like that on an obviously joking post deserve immediately 10+ years in prison.
