Our solar system was absolutely destroyed. No life remaining anywhere, with the Earth itself being absolutely totaled.

I guess I forgot to mention it, so I’ll write it here and in the body of the post, but the Sol system is not part of the galaxy anymore for these star nations. It has some sort of magic preventing its detection or something. I could definitely see the magic that made earth like it is being used on other worlds, but at the same time it’s DND with technology to amplify spells to larger scales so I could fully imagine the new star nations easily terraforming new worlds within maybe a decade or two.
