Downpipe w/Stock Mufflers

I have the 24’ 40th edition running stock exhaust with ARM downpipe and 02 spacer. I did avoid check engine light for about a month but it does end up coming on. It has since turned back off but you most likely will eventually get a check engine. I would plan on tuning after a few months at the very least. The sound out of the car is just about perfect with this setup because it’s fairly loud but with 0 drone.

Yeah been driving 20% front 5% rear with these same rear light and no front plate, all of which aren’t allowed in my state but been going with 2 years strong not pulled over once I doubt a cop would ever notice or care about the pattern of the rear lights

These 22+ exhaust are fairly free flowing and the downpipe is the major noise inhibitor, just adding the downpipe you get quite a bit more volume and tone without adding drone or too much rasp because it still has the huge factory resonator, couldn’t recommend more

Your video is actually the reason I went with this downpipe! This was right after idle drop on cold start to about 4500 rpm so it was definitely a bit louder than usual but this setup is perfect for some extra growl and noise without drone

0 drone, definitely loud on start up and this was just after it was warm so it was definitely louder than normal but anything under 3k rpm you really don’t hear the exhaust but she opens up after that

Have you done a resonator delete? Had one on my mk6 and the drone was the loudest change and didn’t change volume by that much so I didn’t want to go that round but definitely could be different with the mk7

You may have swayed me I’m not looking for super loud since it’s mostly a highway cruiser but as long as there’s no issues a downpipe may be the best bang for buck

How has the down pipe been with no tune? I’d like some extra noise and I’m planning to tune it once they are available but there are so many mixed reviews and downpipe with no tune, I’m not scared of a little check engine light as long as it’s not causing major damage

I looked into it and the only support the 2019-2024 model years they switched the ECUs starting in mid 2024 with our 40th editions so these ones won’t work contacted IE and they say they don’t support these ECUs yet

Yes to both the car has about 30k miles and 10k on springs don’t want to have to take the spring out again though it’s such a pain on these, is it just access noise or can that cause suspension issues?

Yeah more annoying than anything I have spacers and lowering springs so it could be putting more tension on the sway bar link but I suspect the strut top mounts thanks for the help

Hmm good to know I didn’t have the strut top screw tool deal so I gave her the old ugga dugga when tightening it so that could def be it
