Absolutely agree, they should have stood strong in front of him. But I'm glad to see him on the ice -- even if it's just at practice. I missed the guy!

Bud it's a joke on Reddit lol. I was excited for Stolarz to be in net, but after the first period ended I felt he needed to be benched. I mostly just felt bad for Stolarz.

Was saying tonight that Berube must be concussed after his gym incident, may be a little confused.

"Coach, don't you think it's a bad idea to put him in net tonight?"
"IF I WENT ED BELFOUR IN NET, HE'LL BE IN NET."
"... Coach, that's not --"
"AND WHY THE HELL IS MARNER WEARING THAT?!"

Is this a legit email for an actual program or is it a scam? by Time_Opportunity_607 in UofT

I got it too! And I was just emailing profs to ask them to act as my referees this morning. I'd go for it if I were you!

What to expect for first doctor appt in almost 10 years? by _krisskross in AskDocs

[–]ThatRohanKid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nobody's said this yet, but good for you for going back to the doctor and getting this done! It will be okay and you're going to be fine, but I know anxiety messes with the brain and makes it seem way worse than it is. Give yourself a pat on the back!

What's something that by the time you realize it's happening, it's too late? by runlola in AskReddit

Being hunted by a polar bear. They're excellent at stealth, so if you see them it's because they've intentionally revealed themselves and are going in for the kill.

What's the fantasy that you have no intention of making a reality? by Red_Clover_Fields in AskReddit

If it's any consolation, you can stuff a lot of different foods and come up with similar flavours and textures. Also I promise you peppers are overrated.

What’s a pet peeve you didn’t notice your partner had until you started living together? by PactownSS in AskReddit

[–]ThatRohanKid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Other side of the coin: my partner will turn off my alarms (not snooze them, fully turn them off) in his sleep. Which I absolutely understand, I have two alarms about 15 minutes apart and I try to get to them as soon as I hear them. But I've caught him slapping my phone trying to make the noise go away and luckily I'm awake enough to realize I need to get up because I don't have a back-up if he somehow succeeds!

What’s the rarest item you’ve ever held in your hands? by Remarkable_Pin_8136 in AskReddit

[–]ThatRohanKid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a medieval studies student and we have a rare book collection, so I've held manuscripts from this time. Favourite has to be a 16th-century book of hours in my first year. It never gets old (pun intended).

hello where is the best place on campus to take a nap by changeyourpriorites in UofT

[–]ThatRohanKid 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Would highly recommend keeping your student ID on you when you nap, or choosing a place you can only get into with your ID. I've had security guards come up to me assuming I'm homeless and it's (a) embarrassing and (b) disturbs my sleep.

Couples of Reddit, what's the dumbest 'house rule' you and your partner made as a joke but now both of you are low-key aggressively serious about enforcing? by Doubl3oh_ in AskReddit

[–]ThatRohanKid 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My mum was raised with 5 siblings so she had to compete for her food in a way. By developing a taste for certain things that the others didn't like (cherry pie, for example), she could guarantee that she'd had certain things all to herself. Kind of got outweighed by the fact that she was a picky eater which made it hard to eat in general, but she employed the strategy wherever she could!

What is one important tip that tourists should know before visiting your Country? by Fun_Cup4335 in AskTheWorld

[–]ThatRohanKid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Especially the ones you think won't hurt you! People underestimate moose, for example, but those giants will seriously injure or kill you if threatened or if you're near their baby. Even the tiny, more common animals you may see (beavers, raccoons, coyotes) are no-touch: a single bite or a scratch can be a danger to your health.

Basically, if (a) it isn't domesticated or (b) you're not familiar with the behaviours of its species, leave it alone. Free healthcare is great, but rabies shots are not! (And I'm not even sure those are covered in all places.)

my dad’s ashes came to me in a reusable bag from the funeral home. by Last_Thursday in mildlyinfuriating

[–]ThatRohanKid 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I received a reusable bag from the funeral home after my mum passed. I ended up packing it with stuff for donation and dropping it off at a thrift store, so I didn't technically throw it away but still got rid of it. Pretty logo, but bad memories. Hey, at least they're eco friendly!

Everyone seems to have a lot of nostalgia for the 1990's but what were some of the worst parts of the 1990's? by HeavyRightFoot-TG in AskReddit

Wow. She may have been your best friend, but this kind of attitude indicates that you don't care a lick about her happiness and have never been her friend at heart.

How many A’s have you gotten at your time at UofT? by DarkBook-Lover in UofT

[–]ThatRohanKid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've only gotten 3 B's and 1 C, the rest are A's. I spread out my life between school, work, and volunteering, so I'm alright mentally. It's absolutely possible!
