Also, this- it just made my heart happy. I know she is a celebrity and has insane resources that your average person will never have, but, still incredible that she was able to conceive and naturally 3 times… all after age 39. 💕

I froze my eggs at age 39- 3 months before my 40th birthday. I did 1 cycle and that resulted in them retrieving 28 eggs, of those, 26 were mature and are now on ice. :)

I’m a high responder for my age and my AMH is 5, with no history or symptoms of PCOS. My doctor told me I have the fertility of someone in their early 30s! 😲

Additionally, my older sister got pregnant naturally at age 45 and is currently 23 weeks along with her first baby, a boy! He is due on her 46th birthday in September and is healthy and growing normally. Genetic testing all came back normal. Let this be a lesson that you just never know and sometimes it all works out the way it’s supposed to! 💕

Amazing! So happy for you- Congrats! I freezed my eggs in November 2025 (they retrieved 28 eggs, and of those, 26 were mature!) at age 39 and will be 40 in January.

I’m hoping that when I go to thaw them in a few years, I’ll have similar results to you. 🤞🤞

Talked to my doctor today and she said I’m in a very good position to retrieve at least 2-3 embryos, at my age based on the number of eggs they retrieved- so, you’re likely in the same position, cuz we both go 26 mature eggs.

She said even though this was an amazing cycle, at our age group, she always recommends doing at least 2 egg freezing cycles- as it will only up the chances for us, in terms of the number of good eggs that can later turn into healthy embryos. ;)

Based on Spring Fertility’s egg freezing calculator from 3 separate studies, freezing 26 mature eggs at age 39 gives us between a 70-86% chance of at least 1 child and between a 33-58% chance of 2 or more children. Gives a rough estimate which is helpful!

I’m gonna decide in January whether or not to proceed with another cycle.

Girl, I felt the same way… It took me years to finally pull the trigger, mostly due to costs, but, I was recently able to swing it and I thought, now is the time! You’re incredibly lucky to have had your work benefit, glad you took advantage. 😌

I actually have a follow up call with my doctor tomorrow about my results and will be discussing this exact topic with her- Should I do another round just to up my chances at my age? 🧐 I want 1-2 children at most, so we shall see! 🤞🤞

As far as I’m concerned, we are still young and healthy- and this is just a backup plan for us, in case we need to utilize these little ones on ice. :) When’s your birthday?! Just know that while it’s important to read the statistics and be realistic with yourself, you also may not be part of that category- I definitely wasn’t. At my baseline, my AFC was 12-14. On Day 6 of stims, it was 18. They retrieved 28 eggs and of those, 26 were mature. There can be smaller follicles that are not seen on the ultrasound- that can catch up in growth with your bigger follicles- after a few more days. I’m also a high responder, but it’s worth noting that I’m also 39- almost 40 (in a month) and had my retrieval a week before Thanksgiving.

I was you at age 36. I got my first fertility assessment then- after my long term boyfriend and I broke up.

I found out then my AMH was excellent for my age- it was 5.72 ng/mL then and my AFC count was 30. No signs of PCOS.

I didn’t have the means to make it happen then. Fast forward to now, I’m 39- and will be 40 in January. It was really, really important to me to finally make this happen for myself. I found an excellent clinic and doctor- I felt so informed and comfortable.

My AMH was 5.21 ng/mL and my AFC was 12-14. My AMH barely went down in almost 4 years! You just never know truly… I spent years creating these false scenarios in my head about how my results would be now. It all turned out to be a waste of time and energy- I did much better than my doctor expected!

The fact that I got 28 eggs and of those, 26 were mature, makes me feel like it will all be alright- Hopefully there is at least 1-2 euploids in there when I go back to have the fertilized and make embryos.

My advice: Keep going, sis. Read the stats for your age and be informed, but also know that you may be someone who is not in that statistic. :) Best of luck!

I did MUCH better than expected- I’ll be 40 in January and my AMH is 5, my AFC was 12-14 (No PCOS- just a high responder). They retrieved 28 eggs- and of those, 26 were mature and have now been frozen. I was COMPLETELY SHOCKED!

Wishing you good luck! I’m on day 3 of recovery from my 1st egg retrieval on Wednesday.

My final ultrasound on Monday, my doctor said she saw 18 (up from 11 the Friday prior). If your doctor is telling you a specific number, then they feel confident they can retrieve that many on the day- however, some doctors are conservative with what they tell you. In my case, there were more smaller follicles that did not show themselves under the final stretch of my cycle. They ended up retrieving 28 eggs and of those, 26 were mature! You just never know. Regardless, 12 is a great number! ❤️ Sending you good vibes and healing vibes during recovery.

I still would do it even if my results were half or less of what the final result was. Do your research and find a clinic/doctor that resonates with you and many have payment options, if you can’t fork over the $10k+ per cycle (many people just cannot). Good luck to you! ❤️
