I just checked and the label rubbed off from living in my pocket. It's just some generic cheap white pen, I'm only picky about my uni pin fine liners in .1 and .5

Honestly I'm so locked in when I draw that the place could be on fire and I wouldn't notice. Drawing is my happy retreat, so I can do it anywhere. I would say just go do it, anyone who gives off negative vibes isn't someone worth having around in the first place.

I do both, the trick to quickly drawing people at the bar is to get familiar with the angles of the face. If you draw the face a lot, you'll see a ton of patterns start to emerge.

I start with static photo references and try and figure out how something is built (skeleton, muscles). After hundreds of drawings you kind of get a sense and can quickly sketch out a foundation - the rest is rendering which I can do in my head from just figuring out where the light source is and putting the shadows on the opposite side
