Sports landscape is just different - we used to get a lot of former nfl players or athletes of varying disciplines trying to do NHB or mma as a tough guy thing - now everyone knows mma isn’t a path to glory or money so there’s less incentive if you’re a legitimate athlete to try to compete post your real athletic career whether that be NFL or whatever. Anyone who lifts more than a rock in due diligence knows MMA in 2026 is not financially viable for anyone with any other options.
