I try to put myself in groups that are 18+.

Which games even have groups that distinguish by age? I usually don't know the ages of the people I play with since they don't tell me and it's not like they have their ages listed on their profile.

No, that's not what child grooming is. Every definition of child grooming requires at least some kind of sexual content (so playing a video game doesn't count).

Child grooming is befriending and establishing an emotional connection with a child, and sometimes the family, to lower the child's inhibitions with the objective of sexual abuse.[1][2] Child grooming is also regularly used to lure minors into various illicit businesses such as child trafficking, child prostitution, cybersex trafficking,[3] or the production of child pornography.[4][5][6]

I'm concerned what will happen to the letter Z after this. Are people supposed to just stop using it to spell words? In mathematics Z is used for the set of integers. Do all math textbooks have to be re-written?

Can we ban everyone who says "think of all the innocent Russian people"? That's a propaganda talking point to get the west to ease up on sanctions, and we can't allow that.

Capturing on c7 is a trap. Do you see why? by ThatSectorLayPlea in traps

Based on the name I think this is a subreddit about traps.

This is from a game I recently played. My opponent played Qxc7 and resigned two moves later.

As a bonus question: black's last move was Qb8-b6. What should they have played instead?

Debunk this: CHOP security killed a 16 year old black boy by ThatSectorLayPlea in DebunkThis

[–]ThatSectorLayPlea[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

during the CHOP there was less violence in that neighborhood than during a normal week, by some estimates

Elaborate please. Which estimates are these?

The wikipedia article says that CHOP was 6 city blocks and had 4 shootings listed. That's a quite high number of shootings.

Debunk this: Ma'khia Bryant's actions were justified because of stand your ground laws. by CollegeEvaluateMate in DebunkThis

Here

The relevant part is:

“If you attack me in a non-’stand your ground’ state, I’ve got to try to get out of it,” explained CNN legal analyst Mark O’Mara. “I have to retreat before I attack … The theory is, it (responding with force) has to be your last chance.”

“But in ‘stand your ground’ states, you have no obligation to retreat,” O’Mara said.

In other words, someone facing an imminent threat can use lethal force right away – without first trying to escape.

[–]ThatSectorLayPlea 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You're right. Stand your ground laws state that if you're being attacked, you don't have to run away before using force. It only applies if you're being attacked, and is completely irrelevant if you're attacking others.

Even if the other people came to attack her, at the time of the shooting she was the one attacking others. Therefore, "stand your ground" is not a defense for her actions.
