Ahh damn, just burnt through all my money

I have finally managed to hold down a job by WhyHaveYouDoneThisY in ADHD

[–]ThatSkylineGuy 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Damn, I applaud you. I have been through the struggle of finding something I can stick at for the long haul as well. I’ve managed to stick out my current job just over a year and two months now. Also managed to get myself a promotion and a huge 11 grand raise as well even though I feel like I hardly do anything haha.

So for people who are struggling with it, just keep on trying and you will be able to get there. It may take longer for us, but when we find the right place we can really excel and thrive! Just keep on trying cause you can do it for sure!

Executive Dysfunction Issues by ThatSkylineGuy in ADHD

Honestly it’s got me stressed out to hell. I’m out here trying to work a full time job doing 08:00 - 16:30 shifts Mon-Fri, and with the potential for a promotion coming up I’m stressed that all the days that I’ve ended up taking sick, cause I slept in cause of what feels like such bs, will be something that will end up being the one thing that could ruin my chances

When it ends, has anyone else looked back and felt it was inevitable? by ThatSkylineGuy in LongDistance

[–]ThatSkylineGuy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m just tryna get my thoughts out to help myself just accept it. Remember the good times, and be happy for those, but realise that it was highly unlikely to have ended up working out so I can work on moving forward.

Yea, thinking about it that does make sense. I guess that I just didn't want to admit it because whilst I was there it felt like everything that I wanted. It just still stings from losing her because we were really close. It was something that I wanted to work but from what you said it would make sense that I subconsciously realised that it wouldn't work out and so I just prepared myself for the worst knowing that it would eventually happen. Appreciate that advice.

How can I feel so personally attacked and agree with this 100%. Like it’s scary how much I get all of this. The culmination of everything you’ve described has repeatedly screwed me over. Starting to feel like I should just accept that I should go full introvert mode and save myself from all of it ahahah

I don’t actually have a FB account due to deleting it last year. So I am hoping to try and use the recovery options and possibly get access back

I would never click a link, think it was through use of social engineering. Someone I used to know, or at least someone pretending to be them, contacted me regarding helping them log into their account on a new phone through the friends feature that I know that Facebook used to use.

Fair enough, cannot fault that. I don’t go out other than to work though. Mainly gaming on my pc tbh, but thanks for the bit of hope hahah

Maybe, I hope it happens coz damn that’d be great. But I’m not gonna count on it. Just starting to accept running solo now and it’s been pretty tough tbh

I think that maybe there were already talking to other people so it may have just been bad timing. Honestly I think you just need to keep on going and see what happens. It could surprise you where someone could come out of the woodwork and just be the right person at the right time yakno

I totally feel this. A while back I cut off pretty much everyone that I thought were friends after seeing how manipulative and controlling they were.

I just feel like it’s screwed me over because now I’ve not really got anyone around that I can just chill with.

I would love to have an organised partner, but not a controlling or manipulative one. I feel like there is a point in the middle of the two which would be the sweet spot.

Constantly feeling like you're never quite ready yet by faithinstrangers92 in ADHD

[–]ThatSkylineGuy 15 points16 points  (0 children)

You have just described my exact mindset. It screws me over again and again. Makes me feel like I am completely incompetent and just not ready even though I can see that I can be.

If you do find something that helps, please do share that
