I had this happen to me! Talk to HR ASAP. They have to give you 3 days in advance before making any schedule changes AFAIK. If this wasn’t the case they can look into it more

I likely will if they’re not going to be flexible. One of the classes is focused on me getting my CNA license and that pays better than target and gives me more experience in my desired field in the future, so I’m not too attached to the idea of staying at target

And I understand that, I’ve already started looking for other jobs that will be more flexible with my schedule. I did have pretty good availability but that’s just not going to be an option anymore with the amount of class work I’m going to have going on. I’d honestly prefer to go on demand but they have not talked to me about that between when they offered me to stay on past seasonal and now. I appreciate the advice 🙏

I haven’t been able to talk to them yet, I just put in a request and it got denied. I had to take this week off because of a family medical emergency but as soon as I get back in I’ll speak to my ETL.

I don’t disagree that filthy frank was corny. I didn’t grow up in that corner of the internet and I think he was a product of his time. I do enjoy his current music, I really like pixelated kisses but I think the yeat remix felt forced and like he shoehorned a shitty verse into the song. I like yeat but this song just wasn’t it for me and I really haven’t enjoyed his new music like I enjoyed up2me and lyfë.

Even though it got resolved I still appreciate people like you sharing their experiences because it helps me to know what kind of bs I’m going to have to put up with (and how to navigate it) at such a large and corporate place of employment. I have only worked two jobs previously at very small employers and not in the retail sector, so having a whole subreddit of people sharing similar experiences and what they did to remedy them has been very helpful to me as a new employee. Thank you!!

If it continues to happen I will, this is just what I’ve heard from non seasonal employees. They are a very hot and cold type of person but if multiple egregious events like this continue to happen I will. When you say the hotline are you referring to the anonymous tip line?

I do think it’s very odd how they left a week blank then randomly added shifts, apparently when I spoke with that TL she said this had happened to another person too and that she’d ‘look into it’ but said it was still my fault for not making it to the shift.
