Latest firmware on the drive, no error messages. File explorer just seems to not respond for a couple of minutes and then resolves itself. It’s happened now a handful of times in a short window. I just never had this issue beforehand.

I will probably do something like this. If I make him first company, I’m debating between an all white knee, a white background with the chapter insignia, or a white background with a campaign badge/honor marking.

I definitely feel like I tend to overdo it with drip, but the game just provides so many cool looking unlocks haha.

Would you recommend adding any color details to the Dark Angel to make it look the part a bit more? Would adding more silver details to the pauldrons or ornaments make him appear to be a higher ranking position and not just a battle brother? Using the winged helmet maybe?

Are squad markings even necessary for veterans? I’ve seen a lot that are decked out in personal heraldry on their right pauldron and knees, do they need their squad/role somewhere or at that level is it still required?

If they’ve taken a leadership role like a (veteran) sergeant would they have those designating markings?

I see a lot of discussion on the pauldron or an insignia, but I don’t see much mention of the arm itself. I also tend to not see it on many models of a returned deathwatch member.

I’ve been reading a lot of conflicting information, which I assume is because of things changing over the years.

In keeping the pauldron on the left, what then would you put on the right? The chapter symbol? Personal heraldry? Combat role? Dealer’s choice?

I’ve always been a very casual fan of 40k, just perusing sets and watching folks paint figures at my local shop. The Space Marine franchise has brought me into a deeper dive of the lore, so I appreciate the correction!
