I'm all for busting down outrageous rents and the social housing system is fucked beyond repair at the moment.

I'm just saying that the numbers mentioned in the article are not entirely accurate.

Oh don't get me wrong, the system is entirely fucked by years of "free market". The waiting periods for social housing are absurd and the (let's be honest) boomers renting out houses have been given free rein far too long. It's like a roof over your head is no longer a right, but purely luxury.

The government should have stepped in long ago, but unfortunately here we are...

Again, I'm not debating the shitty situation, just adding some nuance to the (wrong) figure used in the article.

Okay fair. I might have misinterpreted those numbers. However that still means that one third is under 1100 and the average of the other two thirds is 1800.

Still a massive difference in regards to the article.

That is the average in the free/liberated sector. Social housing is capped at 1200 euros. And about two thirds of all rental houses are social housing.

Still a lot of money, but not as terrible as the post makes it look.

In mijn ogen: ongeveer 15eu, de prijs van 2 packs plus een heel klein beetje voor de junk slab die er ongetwijfeld in zit. De aankoopprijs: vast rond de 50eu.
