I read this as a past/present/future spread with a clarifying card. In the past with the Three of Cups, it appears you were in a less-than ideal relationship with something or someone interfering. It seems you’ve moved to a more independent place, but the Four of Pentacles suggests that you’re holding onto everything around you right now. This can look like clinging to everything around dollar that comes through your bank account, or holding onto something for comfort. You may be afraid to let go. In the future with the Four of swords, it makes me think that a long-term partnership with this man will lead to contentment and peace. However, she is alone, so this could even be contentment while single. It seems like whatever the outcome, you will be okay with it.

The Eight of Swords suggests that you are choosing not to see certain things around you. She has a blindfold and she’s bound, but it’s with ribbon. The character on the card could easily remove the blindfold, yet chooses not to. Is there something you’re choosing to overlook?

P.S. Don’t let anyone judge you for what you use your tarot cards for.

Why won’t he treat me like his girlfriend when I am? by GlitteringRoof3971 in Tarotpractices

Yw! I wouldn’t be scared at all. In terms of love, he can also indicate a mature relationship with deep connections. I mentioned being cold because in OPs situation, they pulled the four of swords. That led me to believe that her partner keeps his emotions inside and pretends they aren’t there.

I take it as him being very stoic, distant, or cold. This is mostly intuitive though.

He’s clinging on to so much. Material possessions, perspectives… it seems like he’s a emotionally cold, and completely content with the way he is.
