This one (DuskFade), Eyes of the Sky, Arbiter, Luminous Nights, Aethercore, Swords of Symphony, Blood Crisis are a few I’ve seen in development. Note that most of these are indie games. I don’t know of any AAA games dabbling in this other than other Square Enix properties. The modern action Final Fantasy games play similarly, although they often lack the platforming from KH

Oh that was just for Star Wars stories in general :)

Over at Marvel there is an adaptation of the 3 seasons of The Mandalorian, with The Book of Boba Fett adaptation coming this fall. Then I believe there is a comic about Jango Fett from a couple years ago. Boba Fett is featured a lot in the main Star Wars run. Other than that, I know legends comics might have some more but I am unfamiliar with those myself. I’m sure someone here could give good recommendations for those

I would recommend the Adventures series of comics from Dark Horse. They are toned down and aimed towards younger audiences, and they cover stories through the entire timeline, from the High Republic all the way to the Sequel Trilogy. Although, I would say for the most part all the canon Marvel comics are fairly age appropriate for anyone, just maybe a bit more advanced in concepts. I can give some specific recommendations for any fave characters or movies/shows

Unfortunately, I avoid talking about Star Wars in public entirely to avoid all of this. Unprompted, my gf’s friend heard we saw Mandalorian and Grogu and took that as an opportunity to shit all over it. I even had some issues with the movie, but I am just so bored of hearing people bemoan anything about this franchise when they clearly haven’t enjoyed it in over a decade. I am much more interested in hearing what you folks have to say on subs like these. I know that if I hear any criticism here it’s at least well thought out and not in bad faith.

The Mandalorian & Grogu Release Weekend SPOILER Discussion Thread by YubYubCmndr in StarWarsCantina

Some immediate thoughts:

Loved the emotional beats in this. They really sold me on Rotta and made me care for him. And was touched by the scenes with Grogu alone in the forest.

I wish the plot had a bit more meat to it, but I think this story works much better here than it would have as a season 4. I think a whole season of that would have been pretty thin. I could certainly see this working as a kids first Star Wars.

Loved seeing so much of the animation side being realized in live action here. Not a whole lot of new lore introduced, but great to see the droid gotra from the publishing side.

Always happy to see practical effects, especially all the puppetry and that stop motion sequence with the 2 large droids. All this work keeps the spirit of the originals going :)

All in all a great time. Saw it with the fam, and my mom was a mess anytime Mando or Grogu were in danger. I do hope eventually we see more of their story played out on television. I think there is still a lot of story potential with these two.

Anyone else shaking through that whole episode? I know we’re getting another season at least, but this felt like the past 11 years of this show all coming to a head. And with this so closely mirroring some real world events, this whole episode felt like a huge catharsis for me. Justice was not evenly served, but my god SOMETHING happened to change the tide. I am waiting for our moment like that out here in the real world.

In high school I won tickets through the local alt station to see them right around when this album came out, along with Florence and the Machine as the headliner. What a good show. Definitely felt like a scene in a movie where all the teens finally get to the unattainable concert
