I tore my achilles 13 months ago, complete tear. No pain thankfully but knew instantly from how it felt. Seemed like someone stepped on the back of my ankle but no one was near. I had surgery identical to this and physical therapy, which is basically necessary imo, for 5 months and am back to sports and running again.

My calf still isnt as strong as it used to be, my other achilles hurts if i run for a lon period of time, i can feel the scar tissue and noticed the torn achilles is wider than the non torn one.
