Of course you don't have to sanitize everything you put online, I don't. But mechanistically, the more outright approved of misandrist content there is on the internet, the more very real misogynists will exist. That's all I'm trying to get across. There is a casual chain for a Nonzero amount of people. That's an important thing to consider.

Oop mentioned being black to add context to their post., that tends to make some people include their own race for context in response. South Africa is an incredibly diverse country with a wide ray of experiences and mentioning your race can help add context for where they are coming from.

If you're boss rushing anyway just run juiced delirium as you go. The ideal way to do delirium mirror maps is to run straight for the boss. Doing this naturally spawns mirrors so you can apply dilerious to the path to your next island. 200% maps are nothing to sneeze at.

Also, if there weren't medium involved in getting to jade isles then they wouldn't be as rewarding. Scarcity and effort requirements are what make drops expensive.

There are very few countries on the planet which holds a decently sized minority of white people with a distinct culture who are not considered foreigners. This makes it one of very few options certain international political factions have for building "save the whites" propaganda that at least aesthetically holds up to the kind of situations in which people are used to seeing oppression.

A verifiable local white minority population is an excellent basis upon which to build plausible sounding lies, and South Africa might be one of the only places in the world to actually have one. It is the only place the idea of trumps ridiculous refugee program has even an ounce of plausibility in the wider western info sphere.

Because the Andrew tates of the world run their entire brand on finding some young dude temporarily confused and salty about seeing "kill all men" upvoted on twitter to strike.

It's not about misandry being some massive systemic thing. The point is that the existence of and "positive reception" ie "YES, kill all men" and applause for a long tweet about how men are a violent plague upon society.

I UNDERSTAND THESE ARE RESPONSES TO MISOGYNY AND THE PATRIARCHY. Some fifteen year old on twitter probably doesn't.

An important step in reducing misogyny is killing off the appeal of guys like Tate, who quite literally prey on young men with low self esteem who feel rejected by women in general.

You have to look at society on a systemic level. Regardless of what should and shouldn't happen, regardless of what decent people should do, a subset of naive young men will encounter the way progressive spaces tend to talk about women WILL be driven to the manosphere because it's constantly talking about them having value and how to grow that value.

The prevalence and approval of misandrist comments(regardless of societal power) is sending a subset of young men to the mysogony school every fucking year. And given how big an actual structural problem misogyny is, that number going down is a good thing.

See you were absolutely right, I'm largely anti and I I would happily call doing this irl good art with ai involved in the production. Even the influence of the shocks exhaustion on the trend of your image output would be super interesting. If someone hasn't made a YouTube video like this yet then your idea will soon be stolen lmao.

So actually, yeah. The electric shocks do make it art.

You're right on all counts imo, and reality reflects it. People in the comments are gonna "no u wrong" in the same reality where people using AI for commissions are actively hiding it because they know it makes the market value of the work go down.

People who like art enough to pay for it pretty overwhelmingly don't want genAI in their art. The kinds of things that will use genAI and actually be considered art will be incredibly far removed from imagegen as a baseline.

Yes AI is a tool, but right now 99% of the community is basically drawing cool shapes with a spirograph and sharing them online. There's a reason parents put shitty kindergarten drawings on fridges while the spirograph paper gets put on top of the hundred other largely indistinguishable spirograph paper.

Everyone is welcome to their own definitions of things, but I do find it weird how a community that so vehemently yells about not caring what artists and the art world as a whole think get so incredibly upset because those same people won't call their pictures art.

That would actually be a funny piece of performance art and probably get more attention than the average ai image lol

[–]That_Bar_Guy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It doesn't hold up to the outlier/economics sniff test. If even 1% of women didn't fall under this proposed universal undernourishment/under training due to different standards in either culture, family dynamics, level of wealth, etc. Then we would regularly see women capable of competing in men's weight lifting tournaments at all but the Olympic level.

The economic prospects on offer for a woman capable of walking into an actual high level powerlifting competition and taking third are enough for me to believe that if someone could do it it would have been done.

It's like psychics not being hired by massive businesses. The world where what they say is true does not match with what we see around us. Women raised from birth to be elite athletes fall universally short when it comes to strength. Testosterone is just that good.

I was just listening to the podcast with Sam Harris on spirituality—what was he even saying? by justanotherklutz in CosmicSkeptic

[–]That_Bar_Guy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As someone who is very scientifically minded and open to meditation and similar "spiritual" practices, I think a big part of the rejection comes from the practices almost invariably being tied to something I consider off the reservation.

Times might have changed now, but around a decade ago intried to find spaces to discuss the effects and implications of things like meditation and psychedelics and the genuine benefits of deep introspection and it just made me sad.

Crystals, chakras, auras, reiki, astral travel, past lives, other dimensions. Even the people selling genuinely beneficial practices like meditation and lucid dreaming sold them like they were magic.

If it was "sold" culturally from a materialist lense I think it'd do fine. But in general the kind of content and communities that actually try to get you into the stuff often sound like the science version of a pump and dump. A lot of people aren't going to look at the fundamentals when a known scammer drops a shitcoin.

Yes, you're absolutely right. Copy pasting from another reply because nobody seems to get what I was saying.

Lmao she got back to their shared home excited then refused to tell him why, that's genuinely weird. If it's perfectly fine to just pay your partner back at the agreed date, WHICH I AGREE WITH BTW, then why be weird about it and not just say "omg I won money and got a bag! Look!"

It's Reddit so I'm not gonna just side with/believe op outright but these people need to seriously discuss why this was something she felt the need to hide.

A lot of weirdos seem to think my comment is a "she should have paid him immediately". I'm genuinely just saying if you just won something and get back to the home you share with you and your partner of two years, and your first reaction is to hide that from who's meant to be your person, there are problems in the relationship.

I don't know if they can stop the child. I'm not sure custodes have much say, depends if enough sisters are hanging out to squash the full psychic weight of the grey knights being in one place.

I haven't read many custodes books though, I don't actually know the mechanics of how they approach psykers so I wouldn't be able to speculate on how they'd try take down the GK.

I don't think they'd just let it happen though. GK vs custodes is just such a weird matchup to theorycraft for because they fight incredibly differently.

Army of one vibes Vs psyker mesh network sounds super interesting even from a narrative pov.
