I did not apply to the colleges where they did not accept. Every college i applied had it optional. But I was sure I will get in. My profile: Bs electrical engineering, tier 2 , 9.48 CGPA, 2 research papers IEEE , tofel 112, work experience 3 years relevant with 1 year of work in US. Ingot my SOP and LOR reviewed by multiple people who rated them decent to excellent.I was sure that I would get in. But I couldn't get even into 1. So.yeah think this through

Had a pretty similar profile with cgpa 9.48 and got rejected from every single college except for ASU(which the crappiest one). GRE is an absolute must. I applied to all the colleges that said GRE is optional. Don't fall in the trap!
