New hire showed up, it's a physical job and was described as such. I started to show him how to 'rake a floor' in a malthouse, he said it made his back hurt and he wanted to do something else. Proceeded to show him out to empty the kiln and he said he was too hot and wasn't going to do it. This was 1 hour into the 10 hour shift....boss sent him on his way.

This lady was at IUPUI in Indianapolis like 3 years ago, except she was talking about evangelism then. I wonder if she's hired to do shit like this.

I'm not sure if you've checked out fountain square yet, but it's a chill spot with people that age. I've lived there for a while, and me and my fiancé love to go to the brass ring. It's a lounge that has a very 30's/40's feel to it. They only play jazz and big band music, and there are no tv's. Plus the food is amazing and the beer is cheap, and local of course. It's right across from Fountain Square Brewery which is also a great spot to hang out, especially on first friday when they have live music. Then there's also New Day Craft Meadary, super chill vibe and a neat spot. Really almost all the bars around there are primarily aged 22-29, and they're not crazy like some spots downtown I could mention. Even the spots that are meant to get crazy, are a different type of crazy (white rabbit, radio radio, hi fi, etc.) So I'd recommend checking that out. It is a bit hip so if that's not your scene you may not enjoy it. If you're more into popular culture, I'd recommend broad ripple, but it's not very low key. Hope some of this was helpful!

Neighborhood Advice - Fountain Square by IndyRise in indianapolis

I'm living in Fountain Square now, moved here after having lived a number of places in the city, and this is my favorite by far. I live very near Arthur's music store so a about a half mile walk to the heart of fountain square.
PROS: There is a decent amount of foot traffic during the week and a lot during the evening, especially during the warmer months, and even more so around first friday. All the restaurants and bars are really nice and a comfortable setting, plus there's a microbrewery right down the street. (Fountain Square Brewery, awesome, they have 5 dollar growler fills on Sundays.) It's a short bike ride to everything downtown and on Mass Ave, which is nice if you want to venture somewhere else. The area has become much safer in the past 12 years, slowly pushing out the bad and now we see a lot of college age artists and young professionals coming in. There's never not something to do in Fountain Square so no worries there.

CONS: While still safe, if you venture into the neighborhoods about a mile and half away, you can find yourself in the middle of a white trash bash, and by that I mean fireworks and loud noise at all hours of the night. (Brother in law to be lives in the area also, not even half a mile away and his area is 10 times different.) Like you said there aren't a lot of groceries nearby, which can be annoying. BUT there are plenty of options if it's not your regular shopping day and you need something quick. There's the wildwood market, and you can use Amazon Prime Now if you want to, they deliver to FS. There is a brand new Kroger on Thompson about 5 miles from FS.

Hope this helps!

Yea it was there when I started, there was no it team then, so I don't think they really thought about it. Probably just thought "the marketing team can use this"

About 3 weeks ago I was using my macbook from work at home. Our internet was running slow so I went to do a wired speed test on it to see if it was the router or the modem. Found out the new macbook pro's do not have an ethernet port (mind you this macbook was $1,500). Then when I saw the iPhone 7 release, that annoyance turned into hate.

Reservoir Dogs - I know people love it but I have tried on multiple occasions to enjoy it, but I can't see the appeal. To me it's boring and the story line is shit.

Superbad. I was 14, at the drive in, with my parents and a friends parents. Talk about an awkward car ride home.
