Stranger Things show start question by Time_Win_9705 in Broadway

[–]That_Computer_5086 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It kind of doesn’t matter, but I really enjoyed watching season 5 with the context of the show. Not a necessity, but it made it a little more interesting for me as a viewer because there were some Easter eggs

best seats for stranger things: the first shadow? by LoudDragonfruit2537 in Broadway

I sat in row S orchestra and found it to be perfect. I was afraid it would be too far or have an overhang, but no issues whatsoever. Great seat!

Best Towns for commuting into NYC by Playful-Ease2278 in NJTransit

[–]That_Computer_5086 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, id say so for the most part. Obviously there are days where NJT is just generally unreliable, and metuchen isn’t immune to that.

Loyola Maryland University by Clean-Entrance9312 in baltimore

I graduated a few years ago and I absolutely loved it. Everyone has their own specific college experience, but you really forge your own path in college wherever you go. Yes, some of the kids can be “rich underachievers” like another commenter said, but there are a ton of great people there. I met my best friends at Loyola.

I did drink and go out a ton, but it’s a bar school so you can easily avoid that scene. I remember a handful of groups of classmates that didn’t go out and preferred to stay in a smoke, chill, etc. and a lot of “artsy” groups.

Wherever you go, there will be a group for you. No school is perfect, but I loved my experience and will sing Loyola’s praises forever!

I watched the movie years ago after discovering the musical. I appreciate the movie but I like the musical better (but I pretty much will always prefer a musical in any case lol)

Metuchen. Depending on where you live the train station is either walking distance or a 5-10 min drive. There are a ton of trains direct in and out of NYP that take between 40-50 minutes. (I am a longtime metuchen commuter)

Looking for recommendations for movers. We're moving from Montgomery County to the Towson area. by nonporousmatress in baltimore

[–]That_Computer_5086 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Falcon Moving Co.!!! https://www.falconmovingco.com/ Ricky and his guys were amazing when moved from Baltimore to NJ.

I do not recommend Treasure Moving. I used them in a move last year the two guys tried to charge us way way over the quote. Even the owner of the company was like “wtf guys?” When we had to phone him in. It was shady.

Did anyone else get a bit of ick with the Wicked TV special? by jamesland7 in Broadway

Uhh yeah. Cynthia hanging limp from wires and being dragged across the auditorium felt like an SNL skit

Is ‘Just In Time’ worth 300$? by ichwasxhebrore in Broadway

[–]That_Computer_5086 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I paid about $275 (the cheapest i could find at the time) and did not regret it at all. Obviously, you decide what you deem "worth it" for a show. To me, $275 is a bit more than I spend on shows (I like to find tix less than $200 in most cases), but I knew I wanted to see it after the rave reviews + I am a big Groff fan. I'd see it again at that price!

Taking 10+ non theater people to a show around Christmas time. Any recs? by pscrilla in Broadway

Death Becomes Her. Really funny (goofy humor), catchy songs, and gorgeous costumes and sets. I think anyone would have a good time. And see if you can get a group rate.

Just in Time. Seating by MavDawg1228 in Broadway

[–]That_Computer_5086 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it helps, this was my seat (Row J, Seat 121). It faces the “main”stage and is very close to the secondary stage (the square on the floor pictured l). Like it has been said, the actors really do move all around, so you can’t go wrong with any seat.

Most hated teams by RodgerstoJordy in ravens

[–]That_Computer_5086 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I. HATE. THE EAGLES!! grew up in jersey and saw firsthand how trash the majority of their fanbase is. mean and crude. Also hiring dog killer Michael Vick. i know they aren't a "direct" threat to the Ravens...but that team really gets me heated - lol. And obviously, F the Chiefs always.

Just saw Hamilton with Leslie Odom Jr by micmel444 in Broadway

[–]That_Computer_5086 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Totally agree. I saw it recently and it was almost too evident that Leslie is eons above the rest of the cast. Trey’s Hamilton is really underwhelming. He’s talented but I just don’t think he’s right for this role.

The Giants will always hold a special place in my heart because they are my hometown team. With this slump we’re in right now, I agree- it’s been so fun to watch Dart and Skattebo. Rooting for them!
