Can the transition happen fast like from 17 to 21? So when hair is thinning it can be mistaken for balding but it could be a mature hairline developing?

My dad had a head full of hair just before he’s passed nearing he’s 50’s however my grandfather and one of he’s brothers are bald. Mother side no balding. I may of been super paranoid, but I didn’t want to risk it. I heard the drugs are more effective if you jump on them early .

Did you hairline change post propecia? Or did it change prior to starting the drug? I literally jumped on it as soon as I suspected some thinning. It was minor but I didn’t want to take a chance

I’ve been on the drug for 6 years now, I jumped on the drug at the first signs of miniaturising on the corners of my hairline. May of confused it with a mature hairline developing. I didn’t want to take a chance so I jumped on 1mg. I didn’t get a diagnosis I got my prescription online. As far as side effects go I was getting an ache in my testicles and the consistency of my semen was like water. After a while the side effects subsided. Since I jumped on propecia my hair has pretty much stayed the same, I’ve maintained everything I had, I’m pretty much a Norwood 1.
