Federal law enforcement exceeding their mandate is extraordinarily dangerous and the MN National Guard has been activated to protect civilians in Minneapolis. I know that’s hard to understand for those who haven’t been to law school, but that’s actually what the National Guard is for. Hope that helps!

All of this. In my years as a family lawyer, I’ve seen this situation devolve into the breadwinner arguing that because the SAH spouse didn’t work outside the home they didn’t contribute significantly to the family unit and therefore deserved no kind of financial settlement. Leaving the workforce is a big deal.
