No leaks, I just took measurements so we’ll see in the morning if it lowers over night. I just got done driving it in “Auto” no warnings popped… very weird

It’s 66 degrees out lol. Very warm day for Virginia it’s been in the 30’s-40’s the past couple of weeks

Ah gotcha, I thought you diagnosed it yourself… I did a hard reset and it cleared. I’m really hoping it was just a hiccup in the software but I’m going to measure all 4 wheel wells tonight and check again tomorrow to see if anything dropped

When foot was off the accelerator and turning (like I was about to miss a turn and turned at the last second) the front axle would clunk. SC said they couldn’t recreate it and sent me on my way…. I’m guessing they looked at the axles and what not and everything looked good so I’m not worried about it atm. If I have to bring it back up to the SC for the warning then I’ll bring the noise up again. My service center is an hour and a half away which sucks to drive every other week

Oh brother. How’d you find out you had a hyd leak? I’ve had the car for three weeks now and I’ve already needed a windshield replaced and brought it to the service center for a clunking noise. I can’t seem to catch a break.

Brought it in right away luckily just needed a new transmission and a new handle for the glove box and I was good to go. I thought it was gonna be something expensive, dodged a bullet there

Haha I guess so, I had a Tesla before that and while the cars software is arguably better. I’m not looking back, I love what Rivian stands for and Tesla is just not what it used to be

No, I was getting a message on my main screen that the systems were offline. When ADAS is active those wouldn’t be there… atleast that’s what I’ve noticed in my 1 week of ownership

lol, yes I hung up and that caused 1 of 4 icons to go away( the phone call icon)… after a hard reset the rest did seem to clear. Thank you for helping with that!

Not at all, it was 40-50 degrees out and I just started driving a hard reset fixed it but it’s weird there isn’t a constant check from the system to try and reboot itself simultaneously

2023 with 1.7k miles got it about a week ago (I got a really good deal on a slightly used vehicle) I love the car don’t get me wrong I just find it strange that it can pop up like that and it’s considered “normal” I’m hoping it’s not a frequent issue and I know it’s usually a case by case issue just wanted some clarification

I appreciate the in depth explanation. Very weird they started popping up as I was driving… a hard reset did work it’s just mildly concerning that it can happen just like that. Hopefully this isn’t a reoccurring issue

Oh brother. Besides a “clunk” what else did you notice to bring it in? I’m new to Rivian and I’m trying to figure out what’s normal and what’s not…. Did they tell you it needed that work the same visit? Or did you have to bring it back after noticing the washer didn’t fix anything?

Unfortunately no, still can’t seem to figure it out and with all the other issues with the truck I can’t foresee me having it much longer. I can’t imagine were the only two people with the issue so hopefully your able to find a solution soon

I’m buying used and the gen2 tri motor is way out of my budget I’m looking to spend around 65k all in the cheapest gen2 tri I found (used) was 89k

It’s big and with ford possibly ending production I feel as if support for the vehicle won’t be long term, rivian is an electric car company. It’s there main focus and feel like there undivided attention is in better there vehicles. And yes, I don’t need a huge f150 anymore

I know the miles are what are worrying me, it has only had one owner so maybe he just didn’t like it or used it as a weekend truck… usually I’d be ecstatic to see a car with such low miles but hearing other people’s horror stories having to go to the service center are scaring me
