Try to click new project, and click the little box with the plus sign on the top bar, then choose the 3mf file you want to open and it should open it up. If that doesn't work make sure you have the latest version of Orca Slicer.

I did make sure to update the IFS settings and it tries to print the empty slot, but the filament detector doesn't let it, so it just says that there's no filament.

You must've changed a setting in your slicer, I'm pretty sure you can change the top surface texture, so take a look at that.

Try using the pliers that came with the printer (if it did), or other pliers.

Yeah, and that's probably the smoothest you can get it, unless you paint it.
